Emily

Alex has been acting off this whole week and Emily was suspicious. It was starting to get on her nerves, he would usually give her his full attention, but this week hasn't been like that.

Emily decided to finally confront him about it.

"Alex can I talk to you for a second," Emily said.

"Sure," Alex said from the other room, "what did you wanna talk about?" He asked when he got to their bedroom.

"This whole week you've been acting strange. I wanted to know if something's bothering you."

"Nothing's wrong. I'm fine."

"Well you don't seem fine. If it's about your ex-girlfriend-"

Alex cut her off before she could press further. "Why would it be about my ex. I told you I'm one hundred percent over her."

Emily wasn't buying this. He was just telling her what she wanted to hear, but right now she just wanted the truth.

"I've seen the way you've been looking at her this whole week. You look at her like she's some kind of goddess and I've never seen you look at me like that."

"What do you want me to say?"

"Tell me, do you love her?" Emily asked.

"Listen, Emily-,"

Emily cut him off just like he'd done to her.

"Answer my question! Do you love her?" She yelled.

Alex seemed to think about this for a moment.

"Yes. I do love her."

Emily left the room and shut the door. How could he love another woman if he's already dating Emily.

Emily could feel her hot tears as they fell from her eyes and down her cheeks. She sat down on the couch and curled up into a ball. She cried and cried.

How can love be so deceiving. Just when you think they love you, it always ends up not that way. Emily clenched her fists as tightly as she could.

That bitch, Haley Reign is going to pay for stealing her man.

"Emily wait," he reached out for Emily, but she slammed the door shut.

Alex was about to run after her but then he thought about it for a second. He collected his thoughts and feelings before realizing that this wasn't true love.

Alex thought he was going to cry but no tears escaped his eyes. Has this all been a charade. What was the point of this relationship.

He thought he should be crying, but his eyes didn't flood with tears the was it did when Haley left to Canada. He didn't feel his heart being kicked around like the night they dropped her off at the airport.

There were so many questions left unanswered. Should he go and comfort Emily and apologize then go back to that dull relationship? Should he give her some space?

Alex was just an apprentice when it came to love. He didn't actually know what he was doing, he just went with it.

Maybe he should just give up of dating altogether.
Alex shook his head. He knew what to do, but his plan had a ninety-nine percent change of failing.

He was just going to have to rely on that one percent.
