I looked to the door only to sigh in relief. It was Remington, who was standing there with wide eyes. I motioned for him to come in and close the door, to which he followed the instructions.

I looked back at Natalie with a look of seriousness. "Why do you think that," I asked. She was looking nervously at Remington so I grabbed her chin and forced her to look at me. "Why do you think that," I asked again.

"I haven't had my period in three months," she mumbled.

"Fuck," I cursed under my breath. "Jacob," I asked, mentioning her ex and she nodded. "Looks like we're getting a pregnancy test," I mumbled.

"I'm sorry," she said, her voice cracking.

"Look, don't be upset. If you are pregnant I'll help you break the news to mom," I assured her and she nodded. "Now, since I know you're wondering, this is my friend Remington, he's going to be staying here for a while as well. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go talk to mom."

I got off the bed and walked over to Remington. "Do me a favor and try to comfort her, she's really upset right now," I told him.

"Obviously, she can possibly be pregnant right now," he said before walking over to her.

I laughed at the tone in his voice before walking back down to the kitchen to talk to my mom. I walked in the kitchen where my mom was leaning against the counter, biting her nails.

Once she seen me she put her hand to her side and stood up. "Why would you bring that boy into our house," she hissed at me.

"He needs a break mom, he's going through a break up," I said and my mom shook her head.

"As long as you aren't with him, he looks like trouble," she said.

"You talked to him mom, you should know he's not a bad person. In fact, he's a really good person, he saves thousands of lives every day," I defended him.

She rolled her eyes, "how many times do I have to tell you Ronnie. Words don't save people, firemen and policemen do," she grumbled. "You two will have to share a room while you're here because your uncle Victor is showing up later today and staying for a while. I don't want anything going on between the two of you in that room of yours. If something does happen, I never want to talk to you again. Hell, if you and that punk start dating, then I don't want to ever talk to you again," she yelled before turning back to the pots and pans on the stove.

I groaned at my mom's words and walked outside to grab mine and Remington's luggage. It was easy since neither of us really packed that much. I carried the bags up to my old room and set them in the floor. I looked around the room and sighed, everything was still set up how I it was when I left it.

Several posters were hung up on the wall as well as over a hundred photos I took when I was younger. I smiled before crashing onto my old full sized bed.

The young girl smiled at me and I smiled back. "You're actually really nice," she said.

"Who said I wasn't," I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"My mom," she answered. "She said you were rude and a punk. But that's probably because of your tattoos," she said.

"Ronnie has tattoos too," I pointed out.

"But their for us. Like the roses on her arm, that one's for me, it's her latest tattoo," she said, smiling with pride when talking about her older sister. "Other than Ronnie, mom's always hated people with tattoo's, same with aunt Claire."

I smiled, thinking about the tattoo Natalie was talking about. "That's sweet," I said. "I should go find Ronnie now," I mumbled.

"Remember, don't tell anyone about tbe pregnancy thing," she said and I nodded, pinky promising her.

I got up from her bed and walked into the hallway, closing the door behind me. I looked down the hallway and seen a door opened and turquoise walls with writing on them inside. I walked into the room to see Ronnie laying on the bed.

She looked up at me and smiled before looking at the ceiling again. "Welcome to my old room," she said and I laughed a bit, looking around.

The walls were covered in photos with about three posters. Her bed was covered in a black comforter and four turquoise pillows were at the head of the somewhat large bed. The walls were also covered in black writing, which seemed to be song lyrics and movie quotes.

I smiled at the sight and sat down on the bed, spotting my suitcase as I did. "You could have asked me to help," I said and she chuckled.

"It doesn't matter. By the way, we have to share a bed while we're here because my uncle Victor is coming for a while," she said and I smirked at her.

"We've shared a bed plenty of times before," I said in a somewhat suggestive tone.

She slapped my arm, chuckling. "Funny one Leith. You just got out of a relationship and my mom threatened to stop talking to me if we done something like that in this room," she said and I chuckled.

"You're mom's silly," I said and she nodded.

There was a moment of silence before she spoke again, "ready to go buy a pregnancy test," she asked and I sighed.

"I feel sorry for her," I said and she nodded again.

"Her own doings though. It was her choice to let him in and now she might be prego," she mumbled.
