[Maggie's POV]

•••

It's been about 2 weeks since that situation with Jackson. That night was actually really fun after the scene at the restaurant everyone made sure to keep my mind off him and we had a good time. We played games like cards against humanity, not safe for work, sang and danced around like fools, truth or dare, etc... It was great.

At the end of the night, around 4 am, Jake ended up taking Ryan home and Shawn to his hotel. Sammy and Sky were passed out on the couch basically snoring and Mar and I started cleaning up some of the mess and eating some of the ice cream left from hours before.

Before leaving Shawn walked over to me to say goodbye and ended up telling me he had been needing a night like that to have some real fun and take his mind off of work, loved my friends and was very thankful for me and all I had been for him even in such a short period of time.

The few drinks we had throughout the night probably didn't help to make the conversation less dramatic. Anyway, we hung out together a few times again before everyone left for the holidays.

Lately, I've been writing and choreographing a lot. Shawn came around last week, to be with me before he had to go back to Canada, and I was dancing in my little dance studio, or my garage, as some might call it.

He just sat there following my every move, it made me nervous honestly. He said he could watch me dance all day and one thing led to another, eventually, we were dancing, jumping around and laughing at each other.

I obviously noticed his very stylish moves, aka lack of dancing skills, and so I decided to name him The moving tree.

He did not appreciate my thoughtful nickname, therefore I made him agree to me teaching him how to dance, or trying at least.

A loud sound erupts in the air, bringing my focus back to reality. The school bell dismisses the students that suddenly come flooding out of the gates. This brings back a mixture of many memories, both good and horrible, but here I am standing in front of my old high school waiting on my sister so I can surprise her.

"MAGGIE!! YOU'RE BACK!" I see the girl with the big curly hair and a yellow sweater running up to me to jump in my arms.

I guess she recognized mom's car and noticed me standing beside it. I laugh at her reaction and wrap my arms around her waist.

"I missed you so much." Dani squeezes me even harder, earning a groan from me. She's not a baby anymore, she's heavy and I believe she stands an inch taller than me.

"Aw. I missed you more monkey." I feel the tears burning in my eyes. We pull away just to see each other crying. She's my little sister, my best friend, of course, I missed her.

I hug her friend who I haven't seen in ages. She's so different as well. Damn these kids grow up fast. We eventually go back home, back to my crazy puppies who, apparently, are still excited about seeing me.

Tomorrow I'll go out and see what's changed, for now, I'm just in my old room, that I still adore, with Dani. We need to catch up. For once we actually had a family dinner, my dad came home to have dinner with us and my mom and we talked, I guess he missed me too. My mom cried though, a lot.

"So what have I missed?" I ask Dani while we're both laying on my bed. I swear Facetime does no justice.

"A lot. Mom and dad fought a lot. Dad is mad at me because I asked for a new phone since mine has 2 years and it's basically falling apart. There's also a lot going on at school."

"You know dad is always angry, just ignore it. Now, I wanna hear about school."

"Well my best friends are ignoring me, you know those 2 girls I hung out with all the time, over the summer something happened I guess and now they keep ignoring me. It hurts, I basically had no one at the beginning of the year."
