[Maggie's POV]

"So where are you taking me?"

I move my gaze from the road ahead to the boy sitting on the driver's seat. Yesterday Shawn and I discussed at what time we were gonna leave but not where we were going, he didn't tell me.

"Surprise. It's a bit far away though." he somehow notices my shivering body and turns the AC up so the air that was previously coming out only a bit warm is now very hot. I guess I got used to living in California, where cold winters don't exist.

"You're so cliche." I playfully roll my eyes, letting only a small smirk show, and connect my phone to his car so I can play some music. "What are we in the mood for?"

"Not One Direction." He responds quickly making my eyes shoot up to look at him, being very hurt by his words.

"I feel attacked. You're lucky I'm in the mood for something soft, like a quiet rainy day with my dogs in front of the TV with some hot chocolate and a fluffy blanket." I explain while imagining the scenario in my head and playing a random song.

"Do you always have a description like that for things?"

"Ah, most times I guess. I associate songs with memories, nature stuff, people, colors, even drawings I've made. I thought everyone did that." I look at him to see his pursed lips as he thinks.

"I guess I do that sometimes, with people and memories mostly." He explains and I nod as I lean back to get more comfortable. I let my eyes close and just feel the vibe, taking in this moment.

We spoke about life, in general, most of the way here and now we're in the car, parked in a beautiful park/forest all covered in white snow. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

Silence fills the air and we just look around, letting thoughts take over our minds.

"Shawn?" I speak softly breaking the perfect silence.

"Hum?"

"Do you ever find yourself comparing and relating people to objects, or colors, or whatever?"

"What?" he laughs softly then turning his head, on his pushed back seat, to look at me with a small smile on his lips and curiosity in his eyes.

"You know, for example, I compare you to the sun, the colors yellow, red and sometimes light blue. Don't you do that?"

I sit up straight on my seat and turn to him, then put my legs over his. He instantly grabs my thigh with his right hand while the other rests over my shins.

"I never thought about it, actually. How did you start randomly relating stuff?" His lips form a smile as he talks. That stupid, gorgeous smile, that I love and hate so much. It gives me that dumb feeling in my stomach.

"I have no idea, I just kind of do it. Plus, people started making these notes where they compare an element of some sort to likes, dislikes and just characteristics a person may have I guess. Look!"

I got my phone out of my pocket and started looking for a picture I knew I had saved while I tried to explain. I finally find it and show it to him. Shawn takes my phone and reads everything, his smile appears numerous times, as well as a confused/shocked face every now and then, what makes giggle a little.
