It's Christmas!
Now I've never really been one to celebrate holidays, I'm not religious at all, but I like seeing everyone happier and the lights brightening the night up.
We opened presents last night at midnight and I gave a lot of stuff to my sister, gave my mom a few pairs of gold earrings. The woman loves her jewellery. I also gave my dad an expensive ass watch for him to add to his collection.
Although he wasn't here at home to open it, like always, he left after dinner to go check on his club. Yes, he owns a fucking club. And it doesn't close on Christmas eve for some reason.
Anyways, after taking a long shower this morning I have to be ready to have a big lunch with my family, including close aunts and uncles and that whole parade. Which I hate because ever since I was little my cousins would leave and I would be left alone while the adults spoke about stuff I didn't care about.
"Maggie are you ready? They're here." Dani knocks on my bedroom door before peeking her head in.
"Yeah. I'll be right out."
I look at myself in the mirror one last time. I think I look good. It's good enough, right? Ok, you got this kitty girl. Let's go.

"So Maggie where are you studying?" I look up from my plate and notice an aunt of mine asking me a question that really shows that she doesn't care enough to know I'm not in school.
"Uh. I'm not." I tell her and watch her eyebrows furrow with confusion. This is probably a shock because all my cousins are doctors, dentists or something close to engineers. "I didn't go to college."
"Oh. Then what are you doing?"
"I studied Dance for 2 years as well as normal high school in Arts and Music. Then moved to LA with my best friend and I am currently a professional dancer and I write songs and sing as well." I smile shyly trying to make my life look as good as possible.
