New Moon

A Walk ~Luna

I unpacked most of my stuff and decided that it would be a good idea to take a walk. The sun was starting to set and there was a really good breeze outside so I grabbed my phone and headphones and decided why not. I was half way through my walk when Sara texted me.

Sara: Hey gurl!!!! You make it ok?😁

Luna: Ya, I already unpacked most of the stuff

Sara: That's good, wyd now?

Luna: Just out for a walk, I forgot how many paths there were from the house

Sara: Taking lots of pictures I'm assuming

Luna: Loads, Lmao😆

Sara: Lol😂

Luna: So what you up to?

As I waited for Sara's answer I heard a loud rustle from behind a bush a few feet away from me.

Luna: The hell......

The phone buzzes with Sara's response.

Sara: Nothing much, just at work😫

The bush moves again but it's more noticeable this time.

Luna: Well I'll let you get back to that

I send the text and put my phone in my pocket. My phone buzzes again but I don't check it, I keep my eyes on the bush. I look closer and see eyes watching me.

Luna: Shit.....

I don't want to move until I know what it is. I guess the thing got the idea that it wasn't all that sneaky and started moving closer. In no time it's not in the bush anymore and part of me still wishes it was.

A Wolf......

It's staring straight at me and it's much bigger than a normal wolf should be. It's coat is a mix of browns, and it's eyes are also brown but they seem.......familiar. I don't feel like I'm in danger, if anything I feel.....safe, Is that weird?
The wolf and I have a stare down for another minute or two till it starts to walk further into the woods. Just before it gets out of sight, it stops and looks back at me as if to say "You coming?"

Luna: Ooookayyy, you want me to follow you? Is that it?

He bows his head a bit in response and starts walking again. I follow.

Luna: Alright Luna, you're following a wolf deeper into the woods, this is totally......normal?

The wolf starts to walk off the trail and I reluctantly keep following. After another minute he starts to run. I run after him, now I'm really curious. I jump over fallen logs and duck under branches. I actually feel great, kinda like a badass until.....I trip, and fall.....face first. I sit up and check my head.

Luna: Ow, son of a biscuit eater. Great, cut on my forehead, gonna love explaining this one.

I get up and brush myself off, looking for the wolf.

Luna: Where did he go? He couldn't have gotten far right? I could head back but...... The sun's gone down and I don't even know where I am, I don't want to get more lost.

I start to walk in the same direction I was heading, keeping an eye out for the wolf. After a while I make it to a circular shaped clearing, kinda like at the log cabin but smaller. I don't see the wolf but I see a human shaped figure in the distance.

Luna: Hey! Umm I kinda lost my way if you...could just........show me.........

The moment I laid my eyes on the human figure my vision began to blur but I didn't think much of it until, I tried to talk to it, my vision got worse and everything was going black around me until...... I felt my body fall to the ground and black was the only thing I can see.
