"Morning babe." Shawn moved a piece of hair from my face. "What are you doing up so-" I rushed to the bathroom. "I couldn't sleep" he admitted. "What's on your mind?" I finished brushing my teeth. "Stuff." He said. "What stuff?" I asked and turned around to face him. Shawn has made it part of his routine to come to the bathroom when I get sick in the morning, and stand at my back while I brush my teeth. Just like he did when I revealed my scars. "I'm stressed." He admitted. "That makes two of us." I lost my joyful ness. "Come here" Shawn motioned and opened his arms. I walked into his torso. "We don't care what them people say." He quoted his own song. "Hey people have been wanting interviews with me since we broke the news; why don't we do one together, so everyone can see how amazing you are. And if it goes bad, well that's my problem. I can handle it." Shawn suggested. "I think I can do that." I responded. "I know you can." He smiled. I un-latched from his body and walked back to bed. "You're cute when you sleep." Shawn laid down. "Except you cry a lot. So don't wear mascara to bed, it'll be all down your face in the morning." "I cry in my sleep?" I paused. "Never knew that." "Well no cause you're sleeping." Shawn said, in a gloomier tone. "Hey let it all out." I shuffled over to him. I half sat up, and placed his head in the gap around my stomach, between my chest/head, and my legs. "I'm sorry, for putting you through all this." Shawn apologized. "Hey, I chose this too. Don't take all the blame. You didn't know how your fans were gonna react." I reassure him. "What about your pregnancy?" "Well we can't just turn back. Everyone's gonna have their opinion, and opinions will be different. But impressing other people isn't what matters most. The only person you really have to impress is yourself." I brushed the hair to the side, off his forehead. Really there was no point in that, because the hair just fell back again. "How far along are you?" Shawn asked. "About six weeks." I answered. "Eight more to go" Shawn whispered. "I'm gonna go to the gym." Shawn decided. He got out of bed and put in some gym clothes. "See you later" he called as he left the house. "Bye" I said after he had shut the door. *ding*
Aaliyah: hey what's up
E: nothing
A: wanna go get breakfast
E: sure why not
A: I'll be at yours in 10
E: ok
I get ready for the day before Aaliyah comes to the door. Today is my day off, plus there's a bunch of meetings between all the top people of the office. "Hey" I opened the door for Aaliyah. "So where do you wanna go?" She asked. "Wouldn't have a clue what serves breakfast around here." I admitted. We both laughed. "I know a place, let's go." I got into her car and we started to drive towards Cora. "So Shawn finally decided to tell the world about you." Aaliyah stated. "Yeah" I sighed. "That went well." I made the sarcasm evident in my voice. "How are you holding up?" Aaliyah asked me. "Well I'm surviving." Aaliyah placed her hand on my knee. "You'll be okay." She parked the car. "How's Shawn doing? I haven't talked to him much lately." "I think he's worse than I am." "Oh" Aaliyah was surprised. I sat down in a chair. "He's taking it pretty hard." "This is just so unfair for you guys." She paused. "You're getting so much hate for this." "Shawn's taking on all the blame, and I hate seeing him like that. He's not his usual self now that we've told everyone. He's worried about the babies, and he's worried about me. He thinks it's all his fault that I'm being hated for it." I explained. "You'll be okay." She reassured. "Where's Shawn this morning?" Aaliyah asked. "He went to the gym. I'm kinda worried about him being alone right now, but he might relieve some stress." "I would tell you not to be worried but I've seen the way he looks at you, and it means a whole lot more than what you think. He shouldn't be like this, when he's with such an amazing person like you. You're perfect for him, I can tell it's what he's needed for such a long time, and the way he feels about you he's never felt for anyone else. But because of all those feelings I think he's taking all the blame and feeling so bad for you. Shawn just wants to protect you, and your baby." I smiled. I remembered we haven't told anyone that we're having twins yet, so Aaliyah doesn't know. "So how are you?" I asked. "Well compared to your household I'm good." We laughed. "I'm dating someone now." "Oh fun." "Yeah, just don't tell Shawn. I want to be the one to tell him, but I wanna do it to his face. I promise I'll do it soon." She asked of me. "I won't tell." "Thank you." "Don't worry about it. Shawn didn't tell you about me. It doesn't hurt if he waits a bit." We got up from our seats and walked back to the car. "So..." Aaliyah said as I closed my door. "You said 'babies' in there." She urged for me to explain. I looked down and smiled. "We're having twins." I admitted. "I'm so excited!" She exclaimed. We both laughed. "How far along are you?" "About six weeks." "You found out early." "I know. I was like a week and a half to two weeks when I found out." "And yet I had to ruin your way of telling Shawn." She sighed. "It's okay, I didn't actually know how I was gonna tell him anyway." "He's over that. Plus we could always do a DNA test if he didn't believe me." "I'm sorry though." "Just like Shawn, always apologizing." I chuckled. "Well thanks for breakfast." "Thanks for coming." I got out of the car and opened the door into the house. Shawn's Jeep was in the driveway so I knew he was home. "Where were you?" Shawn panicked. "I went for breakfast with Aaliyah." I answered. "Oh" Shawn sounded relieved. "Hey calm down." I rubbed my hands up and down his arms. I could see the concern in his face. I hated seeing him like this. I stepped towards him and squeezed his arms and torso, trying to keep him from feeling he's floating. "We have to be strong." I rested my head on his torso. "Don't let go." Shawn begged. "I won't." I walked us over to the couch and sat down, still with him in my arms. I kissed the top of his head, that rested on my lap. I let go of Shawn, and rubbed his head, until he fell into a sleep. I took out my phone to text Manuel. I thought him and Karen should know about Shawn's rough patch.
E: Just thought you should know Shawn isn't doing too well at the moment and is going through a lot mentally.
M: What happened? Is he okay?
E: We've been getting a lot of hate about our relationship and he's not taking it very well.
M: Is he home?
E: We both are
M: I'll be over in a few minutes. Thanks for letting me know.
E: Okay, just let yourself in. He's sleeping right now. If the door's locked there should be a key on the side of the mailbox.
M: Okay crossing the street now.
I heard the turning of the door handle. "Hey" I greeted Manny with a whisper, as he walked in. I was still sitting on the couch with Shawn's head on my lap. "How's it going?" He whispered back. "We're hanging in." "So what's up with Shawn?" He asked which crouching down in front of the couch. I pulled out my phone and showed him some of the comments and messages Shawn and I have got from the news. "We've both been getting this hate the past few days and he's taken it really hard." "What's he said to you?" "He's taking all the blame and he said it's all his fault, he won't stop apologizing, and he's just not his cheerful joking self. Last night he said he didn't sleep. I'm really worried." "Has he ate yet today?" "I'm not sure, I was with Aaliyah this morning and he went to the gym." "Why don't you come for dinner tonight so you can have a distraction from all this. Karen will cook, don't bring anything." "Okay, thank you." "I'll see you later then." Manny said, standing up. "Bye" I said as he left. After a while of sitting with Shawn's head in my lap I decided to get up. I carefully lifted his head, and started to stand up, turning sideways to move around him. I grabbed a throw pillow off the floor to place under his head. Some of the physical symptoms of pregnancy were starting to get to me now. I'm bloated for one, which sucks. I'm also sore and stiff everywhere, my muscles are tight, and I'm getting pretty tired even though I just woke up. I went to the bedroom and crawled onto the covers of our bed, and began to read some of the pregnancy articles Shawn found online. I felt a familiar pair of lips press against my hair. I opened my eyes and realized I had been sleeping. "How are you feeling?" I asked Shawn as he wrapped his arms around me. He answered with a kiss on the top of my head. "We're going to your parent's for supper tonight." "Okay."
