"okay, so first question, are you still
mad at me about what happened with
you and jaxon and that's why you said
all that stuff, or did you just really
mean everything you said?"

brielle was sitting on max's couch and he was next to her. the two had been sitting quietly next to each other, not saying a word, until brielle finally decided to say something, and as she said the name "jaxon" she could see max's face contort in a slight grimace.

the girl strongly believed that he was the reason why things felt quite strained between her and max, so that was the reason why she decided to immediately bring him up. and once brielle saw the wounded look that came across max's face as she said his name, she knew that she was completely right.

jaxon was max's boyfriend about a year ago until their relationship abruptly ended, and the reason for that ending was sadly because of brielle, and the feelings that the bisexual boy gained for the girl. when max found out that his boyfriend broke up with him to be with his best friend, him and brielle's strong friendship took a sharp turn. he was completely infuriated with the girl and wanted absolutely nothing to do with her for a long while. however, after about three weeks of both brielle and kj working hard to repair the broken friendship they were finally able to talk things out.

she knew that max probably did not trust her as much as he once did after that whole situation; even though she felt nothing at all for jaxon and made max sure of that. and in that moment as they were sitting next to each other on the couch she couldn't help but feel as if his trust for her was fading once again.

"i did say all that stuff because i was mad at you and all those feelings from the jaxon situation came up in that moment. but, i promise you i'm not mad at you because of what happened with jaxon. honestly, after really thinking about that whole thing i know that you weren't at all the one to blame in that. you're always friendly and nice around people once you get to know them and i know that you only see the things you do in a 'just friends' kind of way. he was the one that took your friendliness in the completely wrong way. it was his fault that everything happened, not yours. . . and i really wish i realized that before i  got so angry at you a year ago and before i got mad at you again and texted you all that mean stuff, which i really, really did not mean."

"wow, holy shit, i think i might fucking cry, dude. . . so, how did you realize all
of that?"

"(chuckles) with a lot of help from
kj; who is currently hiding in my bedroom right now because he wanted to be here when we made up, but not 'ruin the mood' by being in the same room as us as we did."

"(laughs) oh my gosh. kj
get out here!"

brielle heard the sound of a door opening and moments later came kj into the living room, a small frown on his face.

"dude! i said to not
say anything."

max merely just shrugged his shoulders while brielle laughed lightly at the two boys; she was glad to have her friends back.

"so, does this mean we
are all best buds again?"

upon hearing kj's question, max immediately looked over at brielle to see her answer because he knew that she should be the one to make that final decision.

"of course, we're best buds again.
i don't think i'll ever be able to get
rid of you losers."

max smiled widely at her statement.

"aw, we love a sentimental
sister."

"(laughs) i know right, james
charles is truly quaking right
now."

the next few minutes went on with kj saying they should get some food after dealing with all of the, in his exact words, "lowkey, actually super highkey emotional stuff." max and brielle agreed and the three ordered some "domino's" pizza to be delivered. as they waited for the next forty-five minutes until their pizza would come to pass, brielle decided to tell them about what happened with her and noah a couple days ago.

"just so you guys know, i really didn't break up noah and claudia. noah and i talked and he said that it was a mutual thing between the two of them. so yeah, i wasn't an accidental boyfriend stealer this time around."

kj began loudly clapping for the
girl and max followed suit.

"and that's what i call
progress people. love
that for you."

"but, guys, i don't know. do you
think i should change something in my 'friendliness ways' because even though i didn't do it this time i really don't wanna actually accidentally do it some other time. i'm really tired of fricking things up for people."  

"no, bri, you shouldn't change anything about yourself just because some dumbass guys think that you being a good friend means that you're in love with them. they're the ones that should probably change something, not you. and it's their faults for fucking up their relationships, not yours."

kj immediately high fived max because of his statement, while brielle smiled at him. for a small moment she thought about also telling her best friends about the deal her and noah made, but at the last second she decided against it. for some reason she just wanted to keep that between only her and noah.
