REAL LIFE
it was friday night and brielle, noah, kj, and max were on their way to san francisco. kj sat in the front along with noah, who was driving, while max and brielle sat in the back.
she had the hood of the sweatshirt she was wearing pulled over her head and headphones plugged in her ears playing music from her "let's get sad" playlist, which she would only play on the rarest of occasions. the reason why she was playing it in the car right then was because even though she was the one to suggest the san fran trip, she no longer really wanted to go. and that was because ever since her and noah went to the fair, exactly a week ago, brielle had began thinking a lot about everything.
it all started the day after their night at the fair when brielle texted max and kj about the trip, and then went into her living room to see the stuffed bear noah won her on her couch and a huge smile found its way on her face because of it, and the thought that said "holy shit, i really like noah" made its way into her mind as well. she tried her hardest to immediately push the thought away, but no matter how hard she tried it still managed to linger in the back of her mind.
after about the third day of the thought making an appearance anytime the two of them texted or something related to him came up on her instagram feed or twitter timeline, brielle decided to accept the thought. and when she did, it did not make things easier at all, instead it just brought even more confusion to her life.
she finally admitted to herself that she liked noah and wanted something to happen between them on a more than friendly level, but every scenario she played out in her mind with that happening did not end well. instead it ended with both of them getting hurt in one way or the other and their friendship being ruined.
so that was the reason why she was playing music from her sad playlist with a hood over her head, because her mind was completely fucked up, and sadly no amount of thinking she was doing was seeming to fix that problem.
