My First and Last Love

Chapter 22- Today is the Day

It feels great to be home." Quinn said and looking up and down the crowded halls of McKinley High School. The first year glee club members decided to meet in the choir room and chill until glee rehearsal. They all sat at in their old seat like how they would back in high school. The only thing is that Kurt and Blaine are sitting on opposite sides of the room. Santana and Brittany were talking to Sam and Puck who finally ditched that Mohawk. Rachel was talking to Mercedes and Tina about the wedding.
"New Directions!" Mr. Shue said and walked into the choir room as everyone cheered.
"Mr. Shue I would like to ahold the tradition of me asking what the lesson is and I will choose a song from my repertoire the gives everyone what they should shoot for." Rachel said. "So with that said, Mr. Shue what is the lesson this week." Rachel added.
"Great question Rachel. This weeks lesson is..." Mr. Shue says and turns around and rights the word 'home' on the board.
"Home. I remember when six of you came through that door as sophomores. Then more and more of you came. The football players, the cheerleaders all came together in the old choir room and made a home for yourselves. This room brought you together, it got you guys ready for the world, it sent some of you guys out into the world, and it brought you guys back home again. I want you guys to sing songs that make you feel at home or a song that we sang in here which is our home. We start tomorrow so go and have fun she the school that is your home or go out and see Lima." Mr. Shue said. Once Mr. Shue left the room they all stayed seated and talked.Brittany was talking to Artie about Lord Tubbington, Quinn was talking to Finn and  Blaine about Rachel and New York, Santana was talking to once again to Puck, Sam, and Kurt about Sam's impressions, and Rachel was talking to Tina and Mercedes about the wedding again.
~the rehearsal dinner~
Quinn and Rachel are sitting at the head table and everyone is in their assigned seats. Everyone is talking and laughing. Quinn and Rachel are being the love birds they are until they hear a glass clinking. They all turn their attention to the source and see it is Santana.
"Hi I am Santana for those who don't know me and I am Quinn's maid of honor. I know that you are supposed to give the toast on the wedding day but I had one prepared for tonight that I want to share with all of you. So I have known Quinn since 6th grade and it has been one hell of a ride. I remember when I was 12 and when everyone took one look at me and they already made their conclusions about me, but Quinn didn't she got to know me before making conclusions. Now she is about to marry and amazing girl and start your future. Quinn remember when we were about 14 and you asked me what happens when we start high school. And I told you that we would work how buts off and make something of ourselves and get out of this town. Then you asked me when do we know we made it." Santana said and looked around. "Quinn, we made it this is the future that we dreamed about. So just do me a favor." Santana added and Quinn nodded.
"Just....don't be like Puck and screw it up." Santana said and everyone laughed.
"Yeah what she said." Puck yelled from his seat causing everyone to laugh.
"Rachel I am going to be honest because that is how you and me talk, I didn't like you at first. When I saw someone dressed like my grandma and then I heard her cat dying. Now I still don't like you at times and I still heard her cat dying, but now I see so much more in you. I look in your eyes and I see a future Broadway legend and a person that makes my best friend happy. When I see Quinn look at you she hasn't been that happy since she met me, and that was almost 14 years ago. So Rachel thank you. Thank you for making her happy, and most importantly thank you for saving me. I love her and all and she is my best friend but you and I both know that she isn't the easiest to deal with. You know it, I know it, clubbed butt Finn knows it, we all know it." Santana said and Rachel nodded her head in agreement causing everyone to laugh. "In conclusion, I want to say thank you to both of you and to be the biggest and gayest couple you can be. And Rachel you can keep her I don't want her back." Santana said and raising her glass in the air along with everyone else as everyone chuckled at Santana's comment. The rest of the night was great and they went back to their hotel room but Quinn slept with Santana in her and Brittany's rooms and Rachel slept with Brittany in her and Quinn's room.
~wedding day~
Rachel woke up at around 5:00 and her and Brittany went to the church to get ready. Quinn and Santana woke up around 6:30 to head to the church. Once Quinn got to her room her and santana had already gotten coffee and were now wake fully. Quinn was sitting down getting her hair done trying to take her mind off the fact that she can talk or look at Rachel until the wedding. Quinn really did want to see her but Rachel didn't want bad luck so the night before the wedding they didn't sleep together and the cant see each other until the ceremony starts. Rachel was getting her make up don't in the room with her was Brittany, Tina, Mercedes, and Carole who is Kurt's step mom and Finn's real mom. Rachel had her hair done and her makeup was done  and she had 1 hour until the ceremony starts. In Quinn's room they had just finished her hair and still needed to do her makeup but luckily Quinn didn't want to wear too much so it was going to be quick and then they needed to help her into her dress. Then Santana need to get ready. In the room with her was Santana, Quinn's mom, Santana's mom, and Ms. Pillsbury. Rachel was dressed and was going over her vows. Nerves were shooting through her body and was packing, her breath and heart was racing, and she was starting to sweat.
"Rachel calm down everything will be fine." Mercedes said dressed in a light teal dress same as Tina.
"Yeah everything except for the fact, I DON'T KNOW IF MY FIANCÉ IS OK!" Rachel said panicking. Then Santana walked in the room wearing the same dress as Tina and Mercedes.
"Where is she?" Santana asked and Tina pointed her direction and Santana nodded.
"Calm her down I need to get ready for my performance.
"Rachel what is going on?" Santana asked.
"I don't know I was doing great and then I realized I am getting married and then I started thinking and-"
"Stop." Santana said cutting Rachel off.
"Stop what?" Rachel asked.
"Stop thinking about the bad things. Think about what you and Quinn did to get here. Think about the fact that when you were in high school you never thought you would marry a cheerleader. Now remember your vows and then go and marry the hell out of that women." Santana said and gave her a small smile.
"Thank you Santana. Your not so bad when you aren't insulting me." Rachel said returning the smile.
"Don't get used to it." Santana said and walked out. Leaving Rachel with a smile on her face.
