My First and Last Love

Chapter 26- A Start

After Quinn's little meeting with Mercedes it was all she could think about. Quinn went home and made a pros and cons list on a big white board that she bought on the was home along with dry erase markers and eraser. Kurt got home and helped her a little then at 10:00 pm he went to bed since he had school in the morning and so did Quinn but with this on her mind she wouldn't be able to sleep. She was up eating pudding cups and drinking Mountain Dew for hours to stay awake. Around 12:30 Rachel got home.
"What the hell is going on in my living room." Rachel said once she walked in and saw empty pudding cups and crushed soda cans everywhere.
"Hey babe how was your day?" Quinn said and started to right on the board.
"Ok, Quinn I love you but this is insane. It is like I am living with a teenager." Rachel said taking off her coat and shoes.
"Sorry I will clean it all up once I finish." Quinn said looking at the board.
"Quinn what is all this?" Rachel asked referring to Quinn pros and cons list.
"Today at work Mercedes showed up and asked me to be her backup dancer and go on tour with her. And there are a lot of ups and downs and variables that go into this. What do you think Rachel? This will affect you the most." Quinn said sitting on the couch.
"I think you should go. This could be your first big step in your career and I don't want you to miss out of that because of me." Rachel said sincerely.
"But babe this is 5 months. That's a long time." Quinn said.
"I will miss you but that is nothing that we can't handle. So this is me as your wife and someone who cares about you, I say go for it." Rachel said.
"Really?" Quinn asked.
"My career shouldn't be this only one taking off, yours should to." Rachel said
"I love you so much." Quinn said and pulled her into a hug.
"I love you too. An I am so proud of you." Rachel said hugging Quinn tightly like she is leaving tomorrow.
"I will call Mercedes tomorrow morning." Quinn said.
"Well I am going to bed." Rachel said starting for their room.
"Yeah me too." Quinn said and followed Rachel but stopped immediately.
"No you are going to fix my living room then take a shower." Rachel said and then walked into the room leaving Quinn with her mess.
~next morning~
Quinn woke up and felt warmth on the bed, which is something that she missed. She turned around and saw a sleeping Rachel. Quinn got up and the smell of Kurt's blueberry pancakes hit her. Quinn jumped out of bed and ran out. Rachel started to shift in the bed and soon woke up to giggling. Once she came out of the room she saw everyone in the living room talking.
"Good morning." Everyone said so cheerful even Santana who hates mornings.
"Hi." Rachel said. "What are you guys doing here?" Rachel asked.
"Kurt invited us because Quinn had big news to share and he said that we had to wait until you woke up." Brittany explained.
"Yeah do now that she is awake what's the big news Kurt." Artie asked. Kurt gave Quinn a look say tell the the good news.
"I have been asked to go on tour as a backup dancer for 5 months!" Quinn said and everyone started to cheer and hug her and congratulate her.
"Oh Mercedes we have rehearsal in half an hour we should get going." Quinn said looking at her watch. After Mercedes and Quinn said bye to everyone they headed out the door. They got their a few minutes late but it was no big deal. Quinn got into the dance studio and her eyes got so big. She had never seen a dance studio that big before. The one in Lima was old and the one at NYU smelled funny. This one was huge the walls were white, the floor has polished floors, and it had mirrors on every wall of the room, and it didn't smell like sweat or feet. It smelled like freshly polished wood.
"Quinn this is your dance instructor, Ryan White." Mercedes said. He held out his hand for Quinn to shake.
"Hi I'm Quinn but my friends just call me Q, nice to meet you." Quinn said shaking his hand.
"Nice to meet you Q. So how long have you been dancing?" Rayan asked.
"I'm for about 15 years." Quinn said.
"Well that is great. Here I will walk you through the choreography." Rayan said and she followed him and started to dance.
~5 hours later~
"Good job Quinn. But next time I want you to let your hips take control and just feel it. Try it again. Play the music!" Rayan said. Quinn started off across the room of Rayan and once the music started to move to the beat and stepping closer to Rayan. As she made her way closer Quinn took out her ponytail holder and let her hair fall down her back. Quinn finally made it to Ryan and her dropped and slowly made his way up Quinn's legs. Meanwhile Quinn never stopped moving her hips. Once her made it to the stop Quin started to slowly grind lower and lower and then flipped backwards. They continued to dance through the the song telling their hips take over their bodies.
"That was perfect Q. Great job today, I will see you same time tomorrow ok?" Ryan said as he grabbed his back and was out the door. Quinn sat down on the ground and took sips from her water and she scrolled through her Instagram. Then Mercedes came in the studio after she was done. Mercedes went to do thing in the booth while Quinn was in the dance studio.
"Hey are you ready to go? We have our weekly Disney tonight at your place tonight." Mercedes said peeking her head in to see Quinn on the floor.
"Yeah let's go." Quinn said getting up and putting her towel around her neck and having her phone and water bottle in her hand.
"How was it?" Mercedes asked at they made their way out of the building.
"It was great. I learned the choreography to 4 of your songs today." Quinn said really happy. Once they got to Quinn's apartment everyone was already there. Sam Brittany and Artie we're talking, Rachel and Santana were cooking, and Kurt and Blaine were setting the table. Once they heard the door open they all said hey. Mercedes went to go greet Sam and Quinn went to go greet Rachel and Santana.
"Hey babe. How was your day?" Rachel asked.
"It was good, I learned the choreography to 4 of Mercedes's songs. And my dance instructor is amazing." Quinn said.
"She didn't hit on you did she?" Rachel asked.
"No probably because she is a he." Quinn said and Santana just burst out laughing.
"Well I am going to go shower." Quinn said going to the bathroom.
