No Tears Left To Cry

"Peter!" I yelled "Can you get the door!? I'm pantsless!"

"Okay!" he yelled. I pulled my skinny jeans on as quick as I could to find out who was knocking on my door. I ran downstairs buttoning my pants.

"Sorry I-" I looked up and stopped. "Andrew" I said gently. Pete glared at the floor. "Angel baby, can you go into the kitchen?" I asked gently. Pete walked away without a single word muttered, said, or screamed. I was proud of him for that, and impressed. If I saw Thomas at his door I'd probably lose it. I walked over to my ex.

"Can we talk outside?" he asked. I looked at Pete, who looked up at me with an expression that told me he barely wanted me breathing around Andrew let alone outside with him. I crossed my arms and shook my head.

"No, that's not appropriate" I said "What are you doing here?"

"Please, I can't talk to you with him around" he said. He gave Pete a weird look. Pete glared at him. "Come on"

"Andrew no" I said.

"Patrick come on, don't you trust me?" he asked. He gave me a look that used to make me melt and give in. I shook my head turning away from him. "Babydoll-"

"Enough!" I yelled. Pete stood up. The house went dead silent. Andrew grabbed my arm and I pushed him off.

"Come on!" He yelled at me. Pete walked out and stood in front of me. "Oh, you think you're tough shit or something!?" Andrew asked. Pete gave him a death glare.

"Get out" he snapped at Andrew.

"No, I'm here to talk to the man I'm in love with" Andrew said. I felt my stomach turn.

"Andrew go" I said "I don't love you" He walked by Pete and grabbed my hands.

"Baby come on, remember we talked about getting married?" he asked "Breaking up was a mistake I want you back so badly. I realized that night you came over" I pulled my hands from his.

"Andrew you don't love anyone but yourself" I snapped "I'm done. I love Pete and I'm not leaving him. I'll never make the mistake of being away from him again" I stepped behind my boyfriend "You need to leave now, because I'm not interested. I don't love you, and you don't love me. You're just pissed off you cant have me so you're groveling like a dog, and it won't work. Go away" He glared at me. He stepped forward but Pete pushed him back. Andrew ran at Pete, but he punched him quickly. I jumped a little. Pete had strength I didn't know about. I mean, I'd seen his muscles, but not in action. Andrew flinched back covering his mouth. Pete grabbed him by his hair and tore him to the door.

"If you ever come back here I'll make sure you never see the light of day again" Pete said. He said it so gently it was menacing, and it gave me chills up my body. He tossed my ex outside and slammed the door shut. I hugged his waist from behind. He placed his hands over mine.

"You didn't tell me you were such a tough guy" I said "It's pretty hot"

"Hmm" He mumbled "I wouldn't say tough guy, maybe over protective" We heard something smash, and a car alarm went off. Pete ripped the door open.

"Fuck!" he yelled. We both ran outside. I watched Andrew take off down the street in his beat up old car. "Oh my fucking god!" Pete and I ran to his expensive car. One of many. Andrew pulled back up the road and slammed his car into my cars side. Then, did it again. He tore off down the road again, this time disappearing, with barely a scratch on his, and mine almost totaled. I stared at it in shock, while Pete mourned his hundred thousand dollar sports car, I mourned my only means of transportation.

"You've gotta be kidding me!" I screamed.

"It's fine" Pete said.

"It's not fine my car is wrecked and I have work tomorrow!" I yelled "Are you fucking serious!?"

"Look I have five more cars at home you can have one!" he yelled back "Calm down!"

"That's not the point!" I yelled "I don't need a hand out, I need my psycho ex to stop fucking up my life every way he possibly can!" He pulled me against him, and hugged me. I screamed into his chest angrily.

"Breathe" he said.

"I have nothing left to give! No tears left to cry! I'm done!" I yelled. He kissed the side of my head.

"The only thing he broke on mine is the window. Let's clean it up, I'll get your car to a repair shop. Hell, I'll buy you a new one" he said.

"I don't want you to do that" I said.

"Patrick, I have more money than I know what to do with. Let me get you a damn car" he said. "That fucker better watch his fuckin back" He growled.

"I don't understand how my car is totaled and his is fine" I snapped.

"Whatever" he said "Let's get you to my house so I can loan you a car" I sighed and followed him to his now broken car. We cleaned the broken glass from the car and ground quickly. I got inside the passenger seat. "At least he's done" he placed his hand on my knee "You wont have to deal with it anymore"

"He's never done" I grumbled.  We drove down the road to Petes music.  I watched him as we drove, and took in every facial expression he made with a small smile on my face.  Sometimes he would make facial expressions like he was talking to someone, but I knew he was with himself in his own head, and it was cute.  I poked the side of his mouth for his attention.  He turned to me for a second at the next red light.

"Yes Patrick?" he asked gently.

"Talk to me instead of yourself" I said gently.

"Hmm" he mumbled "I'm just wondering how it is you dated someone so shitty"

"I don't know" I shrugged "I got a thing for the nutty ones I guess" He smirked at me.  "You're the most normal one I've dated"

"There's a scary thought" he said.  I placed my hand on his, I wanted him to hold mine.  He got the message.  Our fingers entwined and he drove with one hand.  "The most normal?" he asked after some silence.

"Yup" I said.

"Well, I guess thats a compliment" he smiled.

"Can we listen to something other than your trap music?" I asked.  He flipped the stations until it got to the one he knew I liked.  "Thanks" I said gently.

"Don't ask next time, just flip" he said.  "You're the most important thing to me right now you know?"

"You're the most important thing to me too.  Other than Brendon" I said.

"Ah Brendon" he said smiling.

"He'd get all pissy if I didn't include him" I said.

"I like knowing you have him to turn to" he said gently.  I smiled, and turned my attempts back to the road.  So did he.
