Chapter 4

-Maddie-

I woke up around 6am and went on a 2 hour jog. When I got back i took a shower and got ready for the rest of the day.

I went to the kitchen downstairs and took out the Special K cereal and made myself a bowl of it and just watched tv until time flew by and i had to start getting ready.

I ran upstairs and looked through my closet. I picked out a plain white crop top, black shorts, and my white high top converse. I looked at the clock and it read 11:34. I went to my makeup area and applied a little bit of foundation, mascara, eyeliner and some shiny lip gloss. By the time I was done I heardthe doorbell ring. I ran downstairs and opened the door.

"Hi Maddie." Myles said smiling at me.

"Hi.. Lets walk to the park.." I suggested and we started walking
towards the park. When we got there we sat at the little picnic tables..

"i missed you.." He said breaking the silence.

"Yet, You never called or texted me? Is that how you show someone you miss them?" I started raising my voice a little.

"No, but i was really busy Maddie, you have to understand that.." Myles said looking me in the eyes.

"Explain why you left me, went on a one year tour without telling me then, Jake had to break the damn news to me" I said pissed off..

"I..i couldn't say goodbye to you, for one year Maddie, how was I suppose to say goodbye to you?" he stuttered.

"We could have worked it out.. we could have found a way to work through it.. you knew i was in a bad place, you just made the situation worse."

"i..im so sorry Maddie, i was in a confused place too.." he stuttered again.

I was starting to cool down but i was still confused because when Myles stutters that means he is lying about something..

"Myles.." I said looking at him.

"Yeah Madds?"

"What are you hiding? I know you are hiding something.. You have been stuttering " He looked down.

"N.. nothing, lets walk back now" He said leading me towards our houses.

Halfway back home he broke the silence..

"So do you forgive me?"

"I'll think about it.." I gave him a tiny smile..
