Chapter 12

-Maddie-

I woke up to everyone gone. I looked at the clock and it was almost 8pm. Something about that nap had me remember what happened that night. My whole dream was a flashback of that night and it matched Jake's story. I texted Myles.

To Myles- Can you come see me please?

I got an instant reply.

From Myles - yes (:

Waiting for Myles I took the necklace out from under my pillow and placed it onto my hand. Fifteen minutes later my room door opens and I see Myles in jeans and a button up. He sat down and there was silence for about 2 minutes.
"You know I heard you Myles..," I swallowed, "When you were talking to me."

"That was the point" He smiles and tries to grab my hand but I pull away from him.

"Why'd you do it Myles?" I asked politely.

"Do what?" He fixed his hair.

"What you told me at the beach. Why'd you do it? Please just tell me the truth." I said playing with the necklace in my hands

"Well- " He got interrupted by the doctor that walked in.

"Sorry did i interrupt something?" The doctor asked.

"No you didn't" I smiled.

"Well maddie in a little bit we are going to give you an MRI and then you'll be free to go"

"Okay thank you!" I said as he walked out of the door.

"Continue." I said to Myles

"Well honestly i dont know. I really did love you so much Madds. Remember that fight we had? A while before I left? I was just so upset about that. I thought we were over. I was so vulnerable. Not in a good state of mind. Then this girl came out of no where and.." I stopped him.

"Stop." I took my phone from the night stand and texted Jake.

To Jake- In about an hour im going to be discharged can you come pick me up then? btw I remember everything and i just cant look at Myles right now. thank you.

Again, I handed him the necklace. But this time he didn't accept it.

"It's yours keep it. I'm sorry." He kissed me on the cheek and left.
