Chapter 10

After Kalin, Jake and I went out to eat they dropped me off at the hospital and I sat next to Maddie's bed. I heard once that people can still hear you when they are in a coma.. I decided to talk to Maddie.

I began, "Maddie, Maddie, Maddie..," I sighed and paused, " where do i even begin? Well, you're such an amazing person and you definitely don't deserve to be in this hospital.. It's all my fault you know? If i didn't cheat or if i didn't tell you that night, none of this would've happened..," I paused, " Kalin and Jake are always telling me how it isn't my fault... but it is.. it really is, and for that i am so sorry babe. Do you remember how we met? You were about 10 and I was 11 and Jake had you sleep over for like the tenth time but I was never around to meet you the nine time you came over. That night you came over I answered the door and we introduced each other to ourselves and we had small talk. Nothin too special happened.. but thats where it all began for us. So its pretty special to me. I'm sorry I broke up with you and then left you. You were going through a lot and for me to make it worse was awful. Maddie please wakeup, I miss your beautiful voice.. so beautiful.. Just like you, so beautiful. Wake up so we can go get Tapex and Chipotle. Whatever you're going through I'm so sorry. I saw you're scars Maddie.. I know you're not okay, and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that you forgive me and to make sure you are truly happy again. i love you. please wake up..."

I waited a few seconds, but nothing happened. I watched her peacefully lay down on the hospital bed. I rested my head on the side of the bed where there was room and ended up falling asleep.

I woke up to the sounds of yelling and beeping.

"What's Happening??" I freaked out.

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave now." A nurse about my height said to me as she pushed me out the door.

I sat out in the waiting room. Then the same nurse came out and started talking to me.

"What happened in there?!" I freaked out again.

"Sir, your girlfriend is okay. She was having problems in her insides but the doctors fixed that.. You may see her now.."

I ran to the room and kissed her forehead.

"Please don't scare me like that ever again Maddie..."

"Myles? Where am I?" I heard Maddies' nervous voice say.
