Chapter 5

-Maddie-

I decided to forgive myles. I mean You only live once right? Jake started calling me.

J - Wanna hangout today?

M - Yeah! lets go get tapex!

J - sounds good! come by in 30 i'll drive!

M - sounds good!

I put my hair in a messy bun, put on a flowy baseball tee and some jean shorts. I did my makeup put my shoes on and started to walk to Jakes.

As i was about to knock on the door Myles opened the door.

"Hey" he said smiling at me.

"Hey! I have decided to give you another chance.. just thought you should know" i said walking into the house.

"Oh really?" he said smirking at me.

"Dont smirk at me, Wheres jake?"

He blushed, "Upstairs, i have to go meet Kalin at the studio he left earlier with Cam, but i'll catch ya later ba-" he interrupted himself, " sorry habit! ill see you later!"

I walked upstairs into Jakes room and walked in on him shirtless.

"Sup maddie"

"Hey" i said laying on his bed.

"So how was yesterday with Myles?"

"i forgave him when I ran into him downstairs when i got here, but he's hiding something from me.. do you know what it is?"

"No." He said fixing his hair.

"Yes you do, you always touch your hair when you're lying"

"This is between you and Myles, maddie i cant tell you. you have to ask him" he said standing at the edge of the bed facing the mirror away from me.

I kneeled at the edge of the bed and put my arms around his neck.

"Pwease jakeey" I put a pouty face on and used my baby voice.

"No Maddie now lets go." I hopped on his back.

"Take me slave" He carried me to the car and put me down in front of the passenger side door.

On our way to get Tapex, Jake started having a deep conversation with me.. it was unusual.

"Maddie, can you promisee something?" He asked, i nodded.

"If and when you start dating Myles, don't become distant from me again"

"again? i never was be-" he interrupted me.

"yes you were Maddie," he stopped the car in front of tapex, " when you started dating Myles we barely hung out and when we did Myles cane along"

"you have to understand that he was my boyfriend and i didn't mean to become distant"

"well you have to understand that you are my bestfriend and being ignored and dissed so you can hangout with Myles ALL the time sucks.."

"im sorry jake.. you're my bestfriend okay? you before anyone else! i love you, i promise it wont happen again, now lets go get some tapex.."

"okay, i love you too" Jake smiled and we went inside and ordered our drinks.

We sat down next to the window.

"Maddie i have to tell you something" Jake said.

"Tell mee!" i smiled

"Ive been wanting to tell you this for a while now!" he smiled.

"spit it out!"

"i rea-" he was cut off by my phone ringing.

"this will only be a second," i say turning around in my chair.

Maddie- Hello?

Myles- Hey! you and i are going out tonight! wear something nice but something that you're comfortable in! ill pick you up at 6! later!

Maddie- wait! bu-

He hung up before i could say anything else.

"Who was that?" Jake looked at me.

"Myles.." i said drinking my drink, "so what did you want to tell me?"

"nothing its not important" he sadly smiled at me.
