I stared at the note, and blanked.

'I hate you. You are fat and ugly, and I hope you choke on your own vomit. :)'

Fat.

That's not the first time I've heard that before.

Was I?

I thought I was normal weight, but apparently eating baby food to stay looking like a twig was all the new rage.

A small sigh left my lips as I glanced in the mirror to measure my stomach with my hands, and wiggled my arms.

"DINNER SAM!" My mother called from downstairs.

I pursued my lips.

Maybe I should try dieting.

"SOMETIME BEFORE IT GETS COLD!"

I mean I could stand to lose about five pounds....maybe ten.

My gaze didn't drop from the mirror as I flapped my arms, and shook my legs.

Hehe.

They wobble like jell-o.

It's rather amusing.

"SAMANTHA!"

Aw,

F-ck it.

"COMING!" I hollered to my impatient mother.

I scurried down the stairs, and headed to the kitchen to find my parents already eating. I frowned as I pulled out the chair, and plopped onto it.

I stuffed mashed potatoes in my mouth, and immediately regretted that action.

"OOOO----HOT!!!!" I yelped. "HOT, HOT, HOT!" I jumped up and spun in circles, trying to fan my mouth with both hands.

"Oh..." My mother mumbled. "It's hot. Forgot to tell you."

I glowered at her as I abruptly froze.

My mother still was unaware of my grounding. My dad REALLY did not want her knowing; which in my case I find it a very swell thing.

"So..." My mother drawled as she took stuck her fork in her mouth. "Why don't you invite Sean over?"

I gulped my water down, and placed it loudly back on the table and swallowed.

"I think Sam would prefer to be alone tonight." My father interjected.

My mother chewed slowly, and wiped her mouth with a white napkin. "Nonsense, she has been home, and not seeing anyone in days."

My dad gripped his fork tighter.

"So after dinner, invite Sean over, and get cleaned up if he accepts."

Now her knowing my grounding sentence doesn't seem like such a bad idea.

My father gave me one stern nod, meaning it was alright if I followed her demands.

"Okay....I will." I grumbled as I played with my green beans.

Great, now I have to see the person who thinks I'm a lard ass.

"Hello?"

I sighed. "My mother wants me to invite you over."

He paused for a brief moment. "Sorry Sammy, but I am going to have to decline you're oh so sweet invitation considering I'm at the park with friends."
