The lime green sphere bounced off the wall, and went straight back into my palm. I sighed lightly as I chunked it back in the same area, and caught it once more.
I was in the apartment in attempt to get away from all the chaos going on right now. Everyone was gawking at the new 'eye candy' which is my 'sister'. I'd like to prefer to her as skanky white trash, but apparently I'm the only one who thinks so, aside from Sean and the rest of my friends of course.
"I figured I'd find you here." Aidan's voice came from behind.
I flicked my eyes to the door, and shrugged one shoulder stiffly as I tossed the tennis ball against the wall once again.
He gestured to the empty spot on the couch next to me, and I held out my hand letting him know I didn't care if he took a seat.
Why he was asking to sit in a place that is also his, was beyond me.
"I know things have been difficult with school starting back up again and everyone bowing down to that..." He shuddered, and had a revolted expression, "Thing... I don't even know what to call it. But just know we all have your back."
I forced a smile. "Thank you."
"I don't get what's so great about her." He babbled, "She's so ugly, and vexatious."
"Indeed," I agreed solemnly. "But she is very good at pulling fictitious things out of her butt."
He chuckled.
"So how has the infamous Aidan been?" I questioned in a feeble desperate attempt to change the subject.
"Good, good, just trying to stay out of drama."
I sighed. "Speaking of that, Kelly likes you. I think I meant to tell you that a while ago, but well it slipped my mind."
He cringed.
"What?"
"She's so feebleminded." He replied simply, "And not to mention, an irritating human being."
"Yeah," I chortled, and threw the tennis ball again, "But dangle your keys in front of her, and she will shut up real quick."
"Why does she like me?"
I pretended to think about that, and then smacked him upside the head, "Because you are a decent guy, and not to mention cute, sweet, and actually think with your brain, and not the other head."
He pursued his lips, forming a smug look. "I am amazing, aren't I?"
"Don't get cocky." I threatened.
"Quite frankly though, I'm trying to get over my last ex still," He confessed with a muffled voice.
I blinked in confusion.
He hasn't dated anyone since....
Aw,
Well crack a pumpkin, throw it over my head, and smack me, because clearly, I'm the one who's an idiot.
"Oh," Was all I could manage too say.
"Sorry Sam," He apologized with a weary expression, "You are a difficult girl to get over."
I locked my teeth together, and tossed the tennis ball a wee bit harder.

"LIKE OH MY GAWD SHE'S SO FLIPPING AWESOME!"
"SHE'S TOTALLY LIKE, PERFECT! I WANNA BE HER SO BAD!"
"I WISH I COULD TOTALLY LIKE, STEAL HER BODY!"
