The long-awaited day has come, opening night of Il Muto, I'm a bit scared, but not for my skin, for the managers', and the vicomte's. I got dressed in the pageboy's outfit, and with the help of Mae, got my makeup done. The girls joined me in the wings, Christine, Genevieve, and Valerie, in pixie(A/N: my interpretation) ballet costumes, Meg in the Confidante outfit, with Mae joining in her maid costume. Meg had to leave a few minutes early so she could get in position
"Nervous?" Mae asked she gave the caring smile that I have grown to love over the past 18 years. I shrugged,
"a little," the rest of the girls circled around me, facing me.
"Don't be, you're an amazing actress," Genevieve encouraged,
"true, and if it weren't for those damn managers, you would be an amazing countess," Valerie added, everyone else agreed, and it was time for the performance. I got in my spot, next to Mia, and you can guess how many death glares I shot at her. The managers welcomed everyone to the show, and the performance started:
"They say that this youth has set my ladies heart aflame," Meg sang, she may be a good dancer, but she's an equally good singer.
"His lordship sure will die of shock," the first fop sang, hit each note, but only showing some emotion.
"His lordship is a laughing stock," the second fop piped up.
"Should he suspect her, God protect her..." Meg started, gazing at the other actors on stage.
"Shame shame shame," they sang in perfect harmony.
"This faithless ladies bound for Hades," all three sang, whilst Mae as the Maid was walking around the stage.
"Shame shame shame," they sang while Mae was wagging her finger in disapproval, then turning her attention to the bed, with me rubbing Mia's sides, then gasping like a kid found stealing chocolate from their mother's purse.
"Serafimo your disguise is perfect," she said in admiration, whilst I smiled, the fakest smile ever. When a percussionist imitatated a knocking.
"Why who can this be?" Mia sang off-key, while Mae "opened" the door, to find Matthew, who to many of the cast member was, "Mia's Piangi", waltzing on stage.
"Gentle wife admit you loving husband," he sang while stage smacking Mae on the but, as she gasped.
"My love I'm called to England on affairs of state," He sang out, his voice wasn't bad, but it wasn't like Erik's. Why was I comparing him to Erik? I don't know.
"And must leave you with your new maid," he said while pretending to grab my butt, I stood in shock, pretending like that was something new.
"Though I would happily take the maid with me," He cut-off to the audience, which caused some laughter.
"The old fool is leaving," she said behind her fan, which caused more laughter.
They started vocalizing, and I could feel eyes watching, I looked up and saw Erik's golden eyes, peering down on the stage, Balder noticed this, and I looked at him in reassurance, he nodded, and I'm just hoping that if Erik wishes for blood, his won't get spilled.
"Serafimo, away with this pretense," I tore off the skirt, revealing to be a 'man'
"You can not speak, but kiss me in my husband's absence," our faces hid behind the fan as we shot each other death glares.
