Hello everyone, welcome to Act III, I hope that you like this chapter. Phantom of the Opera doesn't belong to me.________________________________________________________________________________
I woke up in Erik's arms remembering last night, Don Juan, father, our escape, and us coming to this house. I realized Erik was awake as he looked at me with his soft golden eyes. I leaned up and kissed him on the lips as he wrapped his arms around me. Sooner or later we got up as he made breakfast, we ate and soon sat in the music room composing music, the entire manor filling with our songs, some of love and happiness, others of sorrow and heartbreak. Then we went to lunch, but I knew something was on his mind."Erik, are you ok?" I asked as he looked at me.
"Well I've been thinking about something," I listen closely in case something bad was to happen.
"We say we are in love and have never been on an actual date," I smiled at that.
"Do you think we can?" He asked, I nodded and we went with our day until around dusk. When he told me to come out to the carriage as we sat for a journey into the forest, to the Crystal Pond. Once we got there, I felt a little upset, I also buried Brendan next to Zar, so we sat under the willow, and we saw Zar, I stood as he came down from the tree.
"Glad to see Erik followed through," he said a bit of an echo to his voice.
"Is Brendan okay?" I asked him, as he looked at the lake, I could see a ripple on the water, then saw a shadow of a figure walking on the water, I started to feel like my heart got stabbed. I walked to the shore and met him at it.
"How ya doing cous'" he smiled as I hugged him, as much as I could since he was a spirit after all.
"Are you ok Brendan? DId it hurt? Oh, I'm sorry you had to do this," he put a finger on my mouth to make me stop talking.
"Yes it did hurt, but with a great outcome, I get to see my brother again, I look back at Zar, whose with Erik. But I think we should start the date, he decided on a picnic, he brought an assortment of food, French onion soup, Foie Gras, Basque-style Chicken, and for dessert the typical assortment of eclairs and macaroons. But soon we talked by the lakeside until a shooting star appeared in the sky.
"A shooting star," I said excitedly because this is the first time got to see a shooting star outside of my room in England.
"Make a wish," he said, I closed my eyes and made a wish.
"What did you wish for," he asked, I smiled.
"I wished that this moment would last forever," he smiled.
"Maybe I can granted that wish," I looked at him confused but realized as he pulled out a small black box and gets down on one knee.
"Raina, we may have known each other for only a few months, but I know for certain that our love will endure, the wish that I make on this star before me is, will you marry me?" I looked at Zar and Brendan, they nodded and Zar smirked, I'm pretty sure that he knew about this, and was helping with it.
"I don't know what to say," I said dumbstruck.
"Just say yes," he said, hope in his eyes that I won't turn away from him.
"Yes, My Angel of Music, my Phantom of the Opera, my Erik Destler, I will marry you," he smiled got up and kissed me under the moonlight. soon we went back to the manor, and I had a song idea. I ran up to the music room and sat at the piano as I started playing a very soft, gentle melody.
How does a moment last forever?
How can a story never die?
It is love we must hold on to,
Never easy but we try.
Sometimes our happiness is captured,
Somehow our time and place stand still,
Love live on inside our hearts,
And always will.
Love is something that can not be tamed, by the fiercest whip or the strongest cage, the heart may stop beating, but it won't stop loving.
Minutes turn to hours,
Days to years,
And gone,
But when all else has been forgotten,
Still, our song lives on.
If our love was strong enough, we could live and love for thousands of years.
Maybe some moments weren't so perfect,
Maybe some memories not so sweet,
But we have to know some bad times,
Or our lives are incomplete.
Nothing is absolutely perfect, except for some of the religious beings that you worship(A/N: sorry I had to put it in there, no one is perfect except od, that's the Christian way) but without imperfections, we're not human.
Then when the shadows overtake us,
Just when we feel all hope is gone,
We'll hear our song and know once more,
Our love lives on.
I break into a gentle instrumental, using all the love I had in my heart at that point, and let it flow through my veins. I start humming some of the melodies as I continue playing.
How does a moment last forever?
How does our happiness endure?
Through the darkest of our troubles,
Love is beauty,
Love is pure.
Love pays no mind to desolation,
It flows like a river through the soul,
Protects,
Persists,
And Perseveres,
And makes us whole.
Love is almost like knowledge, a great weapon, and a great defense, to fight those who try to keep you apart, even death.
MInutes turn to hours,
Day to Years then gone,
But when all else is forgotten,
Still, our song lives on.
How does a moment last forever?
When our song lives on.
I let the final notes ring out, as I look at the engagement ring, knowing that moment will surely last forever.
