I sat at the mirror with Meg behind me, doing my hair. This was it this was the big day, I looked at Meg as she did my hair, a loose side braid. Finally she added my olive crown hairpin, and she looked in the mirror and smiled.
"You look amazing," she smiled.
"You are an artist Meg," I smiled but she could tell something was on my mind.
"Are you alright?" I sighed, and turned to look at her, she pulled all my hair back, so she could see my scar.
"It's just happening so fast, I can't keep up," Meg got to my level and looked me square in the eyes.
"You know that Erik won't take offense if you aren't ready, he'll understand, just remember that if you follow through, you'll have him, an amazing lover with you, and you won't be alone on this one," I smiled and hugged her. Soon Christine came in saying it was time, Meg fixed my dress and I went to the rented carriage, and we rode into the forest. Once we got out, we were just on the outskirts of the Crystal Pond. The girls helped Erik pick a venue for us, and they suggested this place because it had a special significance in our hearts. The carriage door opened and I stepped out, I saw everyone that considered friends and family here, except Mia and mother that is. I continued to walk down the aisle looking at everyone until I saw him. He was dressed in one of his nicest suits, which is really saying something, he wasn't wearing a cape, which kinda benefited us since we could see all of him, and I do mean all. FOr the ceremony, Erik had to keep his mask off, according to Uncle Gabe, since he got married in a church, and also had a mask, but doesn't wear it around the house. I reached the altar and standing as the priest was ironical, Zar. For some bizarre reason, he was a certified priest for now, but I shrugged that off as the ceremony began. Zar did the speech on what marriage meant for both, then we did the vows, I went first and spoke from the heart, and a little speech I prepared, then finally Erik said his vows. And finally, the fateful words came.
"By the power vested in me, from the Crystal Pond of Paris, I now pronounce you, husband and wife, you may kiss the bride," Erik slowly lifted my veil and we kissed making it official, he picked up bridal style and took me to the carriage, soon the reception happened at our house, everyone came. I threw the bouquet, and Genevieve managed to catch it. Looks like she might find love soon. We ate the cake Erik made, unironically it was Angel Food cake, I'm surprised that he has that much cooking skill. And now the wedding gifts.
"These are ours," Meg said passed us her's and Genevieve's. We opened it and saw some necklaces for me, and new cape for Erik, which was made of the softest satin they could find, or so they said.
"Here's ours," Christine said, apparently Christine accidentally told Raoul, and he said she could some money for the gift, she gave me a new shawl and a new hairpin that looked like a crown. Whilst she gave Erik a new music stand, and some new parchment, the first one a poem about our love, who knew that Christine was so creative. Next was Valerie and Clara, they got us both journals for our creative prowess, finally, it was my family's turn. Mae got me a few new dresses, whilst she got Erik a personally designed mask, it had black on the edge, with a rose in the black, for this symbolized him and me, a rose in the shadows. Balder got me and Erik satchels, saying that they're very handy. Finally, it was Uncle Gabe's and Aunt Louise's turn. I opened up our gift, to find a music box, looking curiously at them, I opened the black box with roses on it and outplayed one of my songs. I looked at them.
"This was Zar's, a way to remember you when you were in England," I smiled and hugged them. Soon they all left, and we put all the gifts somewhere, whether in the closet, music room, or bedroom, once we were down we looked at each other, the same fire in our eyes. I walked over to him, but he was unsure.
"Are you sure? Are you ready?" he asked, I replied by kissing him. It took a matter of seconds for it to turn from soft to passionate, he picked me up as we continued kissing, sometimes he would leave my lips, and start kissing my neck, and nipping at a few points. Soon we reach to bed, as he climbed on top of me, and we continued going farther beyond the point of no return.
