Welcome back everyone to the 4th chapter of this very book, I hope you enjoy yourselves in this chapter, and next chapter is going to be pretty exciting, probably, maybe, hopefully, probably not, let's go, shall we? I don't own Phantom of the Opera or its characters.
_______________________________________________________________________________________The next day I woke up a bit earlier than the other girls so I instantly started to get ready, I put on my corset, and a black dress with a touch of dark green, I put my hair in its signature side do, not doing anything special, and brushing my hair over the deformity. I smiled at the simplicity of my look, not going all out like mother, or Mia would, I looked back and noticed something on my bed, a note, and a red rose with no thorns, tied with a black satin ribbon. I picked up the rose and smelled it, and the scent was beautiful. Then I picked up the note, in an elegant cursive it said:
Dear Raina,
I hope you do well in the first rehearsal, I wish you the best of luck.
Forever watching,
Erik.
P.S. Can we meet on the roof again tonight?I smiled as I read the note, I was going to need all the luck I can get. This was one of, if not the rarest occasion to ever happen to me, the last time this happened, is when Mae got sick, with the flu, a few days before the performance, and I did my best. The crowd was stunned at my voice. I placed the note in my trunk, so hopefully, no one was snooty enough to look through my stuff.
I looked up to find Christine awake as well, I stood up and sat on my cot. She looked around and saw me, and we both smiled the warmest smiles we could give.
"Good morning," she finally said.
"I hope you slept well last night because I certainly did," she continued as she got out of bed.
"I slept the best as I could," I replied, even though it was a half lie, it still wasn't a full lie.
"I had the most amazing dream last night," she said, as joyful as ever.
"I dreamt of my Angel of Music, he finally came and showed himself to me, he was amazing," she smiled and grabbed her costume, and a corset.
"That sounds wonderful, I wish I could say the same for me," I sighed and looked down, Christine had finished putting her dress on, she walked over and sat next to me.
"What happened?" She asked concern filled her eyes to the brim.
"I had a dream last night, it started out really beautiful, I was wandering the opera house, when they were performing an opera, but when I notice I did something wrong, the entire dream turns dark," I looked at the floor, Christine took my hands, and held them in her's.
"Even the most blissful dreams can turn dark," I sighed, she went further and hugged me. I flinched because hardly anyone hugged me,
"I'm sorry that you had such a terrible dream, but hopefully you can forget about it in practice," she made me look at her and smiled and embraced me once more.
Sooner or later the others woke up and got dressed, then Madame Giry came in. She banged her cane on the floor, making everyone either jump or hush, I gotta learn that trick.
"It is time for rehearsals, come quickly," she banged her cane again and left. Everyone rushed down to begin rehearsals, and it wasn't that calm*obviously*.
Even though this was the first rehearsal, it was similar to a dress rehearsal, probably because we're doing run-throughs. Everyone got into place for the opening scene, so I walked to center stage, and got ready for rehearsal, having a strange feeling of being watched, it wasn't creepy, it was rather calming.
