It was now a few weeks till the Masquerade ball, and everyone is making preperations, even Erik and I are making preperations. Erik has decided to debut his opera Don Juan at the Masquerade ball, and dressing up as Red Death, from the story by Edgar Allen Poe. I have decided to go as a character I like to call, Stygian Death. I have desingned the outfit, all I need is the materials and the mask. But now I'm walking back with Erik to the dormitories, using the tunnels of course.
"Glad to see we both like Masquerades as much as the next person," I laughed as we reached the end of the tunnel.
"Well Masquerades are where we can be excepted by society," Erik remarked as we reached the end, he kissed me as we got to the end. Before you ask, yes we do this a lot when we're together.
I opened the passage and stepped out, but not before kissing Erik Bye. I walked through the halls of the Opera Populaire, and when I got to the dormitories, I found it perfectly empty, or so I thought. Of course, I thought,
"they're all out dress shopping," I thought out loud, only to be heard by another.
"Not all of them," I heard Valerie, as she shut the door.
"We need to talk," I said in a very serious tone, unlike her normal self, what happened?
"What do you know?" I asked, my tone matching hers.
"I know a few things..." she started, she shuddered first, but continued.
"Before Hannibal, I was outside your dressing room, I saw your mother and Mia walking out of your room, but before the door closed, I saw scars, lots of them," she looked at me, I sighed and rolled up my sleeve. And Valerie gasped.
"Who did this?" she asked, as I rolled my sleeve back down.
"Guess," I said bluntly, she obviously knew who they were, and acknowledged that this was the only answer she would get out of me.
"Also, on the opening night of Il Muto, Mae, Balder, and Brendan were getting worried, so I volunteered to find you since Balder saw you last on the rooftop, I went to look there, and..." she froze and was obviously terrified.
"And...?" I pushed, even though I knew this going in two ways.
"I saw you, kissing the Phantom of the Opera," she looked at me in disbelief, crap.
"I was,"
"Why?" I was scared, but starting to get angry.
"What is this? An interrogation?" I stood up, she followed suit, but only to keep me here.
