It incapacitates those that it holds in its grip
It is created in the mind
It causes the heart to quiver
Allows the body to be racked by shivers
The stomach feels heavy and empty simultaneously
It keeps life in limbo
It destroys relationships
At the same time it brings forth compassion
And mercy in the hearts of the merciless
It makes the head ache with one thought
Which bounces around all its poles
Such power given to something created in the mind
Such power given to that which has few protective abilities
The power humans have to give power to something as trivial as
Fear
