We sit and watch
As the world goes by
As nature performs
As the clock ticks
We watch time slip away
As minor aches
Become major pains
We wonder where time went
Yet we sit
Sit and watch the world evolve
Seasons change
Babies are born
People age
And still we sit
Waiting
Waiting for the day
When the clock stops ticking
