The lost generation
Those who have forgotten their roots
And latched onto those of others
We hear these labels
Labels that are bandied about
Labels that cause emotional turmoil
Labels that bind us together
We reject these labels
Labels put on us by the generations before
Labels that cause a fracture in society
Labels that force us to rebel
We are who we say we are
