Her Smell

Chapter 6

Ashley's POV

Cring...cring....

That is strange. It is 8PM and she is not expecrinng anybody but it might be her annoying manager and friend, Remi. Ashley got up from bed wondering about Cara still when she peek at the doorhole and was dumbstruck.

The person on her thoughts is outside of her apartment. After checking that she was presentable, she opened her door and was genuinely surprised that it is not a dream. Before her stood Cara.

"Hi goodevening, Miss Benson." Cara greeted charmingly.

"Howdy mate?"I asked amusingly at Cara who laughed off at my antics to try their customs.

"Cara, what are you doing here? Come on in." I offered which she gladly accepted but before totally closing the door, she pulled me towards her and hugged me and felt the bouquet of flowers on her hand. "For you, love." She said as I keep on gawking at her after the hug.

"What brings you here? Something wrong? I asked as we settle down the couch.

"I, I, uhm, I can't stop thinking about you, I, I just hung uo on you and I am sorry for it." Cara said while keeping her head down.

I reach out to her and held her chin, "It is okay. I do understand you."I console her.

"It is not okay. I, I was jealous of your dinner date." She said while avaoiding eye contact with me.

"Dinner date? Jea- jealous?" I stuttered.

"Yes, with that guy." She said, still avoiding eye contact.

"Oh, Ryan? Yes, he is my ex but we are friends only." I said suddenly and the next thing was a shocker for me.

Cara hugged my waist and said," Ash, I know we have just known each other but I cannot deny or refuse to admit that I feel something for you the first time I saw you today." She said, I listened.

"You gave me million butterflies on my stomach, your smile is heaven for me, your warmth comforts me, you voice mesmerize me and knowing you 
made me fall for you. This maybe be sudden but I am sure that I am falling for you Ashley Victoria Benson. I am falling fast and deep. I know this is a shock for you but you don't have to respond to me.  I just wanted to let you know. This may cause awkwardness on set as well but I just wanted to be true." Cara said looking straight into my eyes and I felt so loved.

"You don't have to expect the opposite, Cara. I am also feeling the same way. I think I am falling for you.
That is why I was talking to Ryan. I wanted him to know first because he is a brother to me. He was comforting me in those photos. This is too sudden bit I don't think this is wrong. Love is love." I said with love and longing on my eyes while staring at this young one.

"It may sound crazy but will you be my girlfriend?" Cara asked.

"Baby, as much as I wanted to be yours, everything is so fast." I said cupping her face.

"Can you repeat what you called me? I like it very much and I underatand you."Cara said smiling from ear to ear.

"Baby??" I repeated with so much longing.

"Yes, Love, that word. I like it so much." Cara said. "What's your plan now?

"Let's get to know each other. But it will be exclusive. I won't meet or date anybody else but I gotta know you better." I said and she nodded.

"So we are pre-dating?" she asked and I just nod.

"We are, baby."I replied and craddled Cara for an embrace. "You will never regret this, Love." She said whike kissing my forehead.

We stayed embracing each other for some time until she decided to break the hug.

"Love, go with me for a date please?" She asked sweetly while kissing my forehead.

"Sure, babe, when?" I asked and look into her blue orbs.

"How about we ditch the plan with our friends tomorrow and have the whole day to our selves? What do you think, Love?" Cara asked.

"Let me call Selena to have it arranged." I said and she replied "I will call Taylor as well."

After spending 30 minutes of apologizing to our friends and some pizza later.....

Ash,Love, can i cuddle with you?" Cara was hesitant to ask but I simply nodded.

"You can also spend the night here if you wanted. Uhm... Yeah, there is an empty guest room here." I felt embarassed about telling her.

"Yes, I would love that, Honey. Let me call Poppy, whe is expecting me to go home per my own promise before getting here." Cara stated after getting up to have a phone call with Poppy.

Aftet 15 minutes....

"Yes, Pop, I will. Yes, she feels the same way. I will tell you when i get home tomorrow. I'm spending the night here." I said and ended the call to my sister.

i returned to the living room but was surprise. There is popcorn on the table and two colas.

"Baby?what is happening?" Cara asked.

"Baby, this is netflix and chill. We get to watch a movie and cuddle all the way."Ashley said and got the cups for the cola.

"Now you will experience the night with Benzo," She said while wiggling her eyebrows.

I chuckled at the sight. I sit up om the couch again but this time Ashley cuddled up to me and made me lay down the couch while hugging my baby, my angel.

I can't get over the fact that she feels the same way. I remembered about some tickets.

"Love, would you go on a date with me at a Lauryn Hill concert?" Cara asked while resting her head on my neck inhaling my scent.

"Yes babe, when is it?"Ashley asked me again.

"The next day."I replied while playing with her hair. "Okay, my schedule is good."I said winking at her.

"I can't wait for it." Cara beaming at the thought of our date. We stayed up watching until 2AM and we dozed off cuddling at my couch.
