Chloe's POV "Ash,. Are you meeting Cara, my dear?" I asked Ashley as I saw Her getting down the stairs in a casual look that makes her eyes stand out.
"Yes Chlo, they are already done with the fundraiser and anytime soon the butler will be here to get me." She replied as she toosat on the couch opposite me.
"Have I thank you, yet?" I asked her out of nowhere which earned a questioning look from her.
"What for?" She asked in doubt.
"For being with my sister, for bringing out the best in her and for staying with her through her ugly times. In this family, we are very protective of her but that is also the reason why she became so reserved and vulnerable, she acts tough but is easily bruised. People view her as an accessory, a broken piece of a give away" I said looking straight into her eyes with my tears threatening to fall.
"She is never any of those, she is a strong, gentle woman who manage to capture my heart because she is her true self. I kniw what she went through, Chlo, I know how it feels because I, too, have been broken multiple of times and I too depended on someone for salvation,. When I met her, I felt different, I felt alive like I am reborn to be with her. You d OK n't have to thank me. I should be the one doing so, for making her grounded on her feet, for the principles you've instilled in her, and most especially, for teaching her what love really is. I am reaping the products of your efforts and I will make sure that it will never be wasted." she said getting up and hugging me. This lady is truly one of a kind.
We were chatting amongst ourselves when Poppy popped in, "hey Ash, look how gorgeous your date is tonight, I can't believe my sister is a grown, refined woman now. Urgh, I'm gonna cry." Poppy said and showed us Cara's photos from the Tag Heur event.

"Her new tattoo is too big but is doped, did she have it in L.A?" I asked Ashley.
"Ohh, that, that is poison ivy and a leopard, the design is from the winner of an art contest and no, she got that in NYC with Chloe, Adwoah and the gang." Ashley explained and we heard rhe door being opened and Ashley's driver came in.
"Ready, Miss Benson?" The butler asked.
"Yes, I am. " Ash said before kissing Poppy and me in the cheek and headed out.
"She is really a keeper, isn't she, sister?" Poppy asked me as she looked at me.
"Yes, she definitely is. I just hope everything will always be okay for those two." I said and we continued seeping our tea as we watch Ashley leave the house to attend Cara's afterparty.
At the Tag Heur event....
Cara's POV
Being happy with the result of the fundraiser was an understatement. I was also happy with the fact that everybody seems to notice my ring and try to ask me about it but Chloe always rescue me.
"What time is Ash gonna be here?" Chloe asked me.
"She should be on her way as we speak. " I told her and I felt my phone vibrate so I took it out and yes, my baby is finally here. Ignoring the party, I head out to the basement parking and met my girl.
"Baby, congratulations!" She hurriedly said as we both went in the elevator. She clung to my neck and kissed me. "I am so proud of you, my baby girl." she added and after sometime we separated and heard the elevator ding, signaling that we are on the event floor.
I took her hand in mine and we walked towards our table where Chloe stood up and kissed Ash's cheek.
The program commensed and the bosses made their speech as we simply looked on, Ashley's hand stayed on my waist even if we were sitting and I am loving it.

The event ended successfully and we carpooled home as I don't want to stay away from Ash anymore.
"Baby, what time is our flight tomorrow?" She asked me.
"Around 10:45 AM, love. Ready for Amsterdam?" I asked her as I hooked my hand on her waist pulling her near me.
"Yes, this is my first time in there and I believe it will be perfect because I will be with you." She said sweetly and I pecked her.
"I am sorry though, love. We won't be there for fun. We are gonna be so busy with work and I will rarely have time to tour you." I said as I looked directly on her eyes.
"Don't worry about me being bummed out. That will never happen, I promise you. You might even find me annoying following you around like a stray doggie." She said cheerfully making it a light decision but I know she is making a big decision for me which made me so honored to be with her.
"No, you are not a doggie. You are my dear wife. I am so happy, love. So in love with you, I love you, Ashley." I said emotionally. Nobody has ever made a big decision like this for me. To travel with me where I am needed to be. To ensure that I am not alone and that I am loved.
"I love you too, Cara. So much and this is not a sacrifice. This is me protecting my precious one, my dearest wife. I don't care what they say about me as long as they don't hurt you." Ashley said and we embraced each other while making our way home hoping everything will be okay with my schedule in Amsterdam.
