Chapter 97- We are Free, with our family

Ashley's POV

Spending a night here in Maldives is amazing. I get to be with the most important people in Cara's life.

"Goodmorning, love." I heard Cara said and I look up to see her beautiful eyes, that mirrors mine.

"Goodmorning,  are we going to breakfast? I ask her.

"Yes baby.. we will also go somewhere after. Wanna hang out with my cousins?" She said, pulling me up to join her in the shower.

We made our way to the shower with her hoding me close. I am still in awe that I get to be with her. I am also thinking on my faily back in the US as it is the 24th of December today.

Cara might have sensed my discomfort so she held the shower head for me without me realizing it.

She suddenly said "I nnow you miss them. Give your mom a call, love. It will be Christmas tomorrow afterall. Wish them a Merry Christmas from me too." She whispered to me and unknowingly my tears started to fall.

"Why are you so good to me. You know how my mom feels about it but you are so patient with me. I love you so much." I said as I cling on to her and kissed her.

"Because you are worth it, Ash. And you deserve all my love." She said as she bathe me too.

It was bright when we got out of our room. We noticed that everyine is in the lanai.

"Sis, we will go to the restaurant, daddy reserved it for our brunch. You coming with Cara and me later, okay?" Chloe said when we got next to her.

"Yeah, babe. I forgot to tell you, we will go scuba diving later, don't worry, I know it is a little bit scary but we do have scuba instructors with us." Cara said teasingly.

I swear sometimes this girl just knows how to tame my heart.

"Kids, are you ready?" I heard Charles shouted from outside.

"Yes daddy. Comin' out now."Poppy shouted back and she carried Juno with her.

Atticus on the other hand walked to where we were. I was expecting for him to go to his mom or Cara but he took my hand instead.

"Let's eat, aunt Ashley." He said with his charming smile. That signature Delevingne smile.

I let him drag me out with Cara intertwining our hands while she was walking out while talking to Chloe as well.

We reached the resto shortly as it was only directly opposite the villa.

What a sight! The table is full to the brim with food and there are so many of us.

"Surprise!" Poppy shouted when we got in.

It was an understatement.

"Family, this is my girl, Ashley, Baby, my family, uhmm, my clan I mean." Cara said aloud and it turns out, it was a welcome party for me from the Delevingnes.

"Happy?" Poppy said when she hugged me with a soft smile on her face. "Welckme to our family. Come on, I'll walk you around." Poppy said and she did walked me around.

I met each and everyone on the room, including Cara's aunts, uncles and cousins, I also got to meet the owner of Amilla Fushi. This is mindblowing.

All I heard were warm words, this family is amazing, I mean, I felt so welcome to be here with them. There was no pretense, only warmth and care.

I looked at my baby girl talking to James and Eddie but her eyes were trained on me the whole time. After laughing it off wih the boys, we made her way to me.
