Chapter 11
Dominique:
I couldn't believe what Ren was telling me. I was so confused. I just sat there, completely emotionless as she told me what she had found out. I couldn't believe this, partially because I didn't completely understand all of what was going on here, and because I couldn't believe that Aiden was going to steal from me...
"Wait. Renny. What does this mean? I am so confused..."
She looked at me with hell in her eyes. "It means that they are just playing us. I am not sure about Aiden, but I know that Ian is for sure."
I nodded slowly. "Alright...and do you know why? Did...Aiden kill someone?" I asked slowly, not a hundred percent sure of how I felt right now.
"No, he didn't kill anyone, at least I think so, he said something about what his family did so I think it was his family that killed someone."
"Alright. So, why are they doing this?"
"Something about money and Ian's little sister and Social Services. I don't know!"
"Okay, so, let me try and figure this out," I said while getting up and pacing, "Aiden's family kills Ian's family. Ian and his little sister are the only ones who survive. Aiden's whole family somehow all get killed, but Aiden is spared. Because Ian can't officially be his sisters guardian yet, social services is threatening to put her into an orphanage, so Ian needs the money to pay to keep her out of it, and he has blackmail on Aiden, so Aiden has to go along with it. Even though I think he's not as innocent as you say..."
"That's about it, but- wait, what do you mean Aiden's family is dead?"
I shrugged, sitting back down on the bed beside her. "He told me that they died in a fire," I said while biting on my lip.
She frowned, rubbing her temples. "Now I'm confused."
I sighed, laying back on the bed. "How are you confused? Aiden's family killed Ian's, so Ian hired someone to kill Aiden's but kept Aiden alive so then he could do this. And I was the stupid rich girl to fall for it."
"I don't think that Ian is that heartless...."
I sighed, shaking my head. "Renny, you never know what someone who has gone through that would do to keep the only tie to their family that they had left. I mean...you heard it yourself."
She fell back onto the bed beside me. "So what do we do?"
"Right now, all that I want to do is punch someone. And I know very well who those someone's would be," I said, my anger towards Aiden kicking in.
"If it is Ian, then I am just watching, but I think it is Aiden, and that I would kind of want to record."
I shook my head. "I can't believe that this is happening again..." I said before glancing at the clock.
"Mee-me..." she said before trailing off.
I took a deep breath while closing my eyes and trying to control all of my emotions. "What?"
"I was going to say that it's not that bad, but then I realized what I as going to say and how wrong it was and I stopped."
I nodded. "Alright," I said before sitting up and pulling my shoes on.
She propped herself up on her elbows. "Where are you going?"
I grabbed my keys and threw my hair up into a pony tail while walking to the door. "Out," I said before slamming the door behind myself. I pulled my I-pod out of my pocket and shoved the headphones into my ears, turning on the radio. Well, it looks like he gave up trying to talk to me again, I thought as 'Songs Like This' by Carrie Underwood came one. I laughed as I walked through the lobby, this is a perfect song for my mood.
