As I stare at the curtains
Wishing I can go on the other side
I'm only 10
and its been 4 years since I've been outside
I listen to the gunshots
They are heard from all around
This is the only spot
Where I stay in town
And hopefully I will not be found
I am afraid
I look at my family across the room
And I look at the place that we stayed
The time before the big boom
I wish that I could go home
To the place that I've always known
Mom have you seen how much I've grown
See how I've been on my own
The Nazis were defeated
We are saved
The way we were treated
Should not be tolerated
I am a Jew
And you may be one too
I'm glad it's not you
Who knows the actual truth

The Wonders Of Words
PoetryThese are poems that I've wrote randomly. You might interpret them differently than I do and I'm okay with that. Its just the wonders of words.
