His heart raced as Taehyung smiled at him. The smile that he somehow came to love. Something in his heart told him to get away, to not get attached. He was just there for help. Nothing else.

But Jungkook couldn't help it. It had to be a meaningless crush. Jungkook had crushed before. He's always had them and he's always gotten over them. They were meaningless. But there's something about the way Taehyung grabs his hand. There's something about the way his heart skips a beat every time Taehyung puts his hands on his waist and pulls him like that.

The official definition of a crush would be:

a brief but intense infatuation for someone, especially someone unattainable or inappropriate.

And the official definition of puppy love would have to be:

an intense but relatively shallow romantic attachment, typically associated with adolescents.

Two different things with similar meanings. And unfortunately for Jungkook, he was experiencing both. Jungkook was smart, he knew that once Taehyung decided to leave, he would be able to forget about the charming brown-eyed male but god he couldn't help but think about what life could be like dating him. 

But Taehyung was there to stay, for now at least. He didn't know that yet, but there were so many signs of it. Jungkook just chose to ignore them all. Taehyung was visibly more comfortable with Jungkook nowadays. Jungkook noticed how close they were becoming and didn't know if he should feel uncomfortable about it.

He'd never been this close to someone before. It was all new to him and he knew from past friendships that they were all using him. But maybe Taehyung was different?

Maybe just maybe. Jungkook didn't want to get his hopes up. He knew this could end badly if he wasn't careful. He decided to instead let fate decide what happened to them.
