I was about to grab my bike and go home, when I heard someone call for me. "Hailey!" I turned around and I see Casey running to me, out of breath. "Wait up" He said holding his chest trying to catch some breath again. I tried to say something but he interrupted me by saying "wait, wait"
"Alright I'm back. Woo, I'm not in good shape" he said when he caught his breath again. I chuckled. "Anyway, you remember when I said I have music lessons here at school?" I nodded. Of course I remember it was yesterday.
"Well, I told ms Summers about you and she totally wanted to meet you but I kind of forgot telling you today. So, do you want to join me?"
"Oh! Uh.." I was a bit startled by his question. I didn't expect him to tell her about me and what I least expected was that she was interested enough to actually meet me. Casey turned his head a little, expecting an answer. He looked very cute doing that, I mean what?
"Yeah, totally. Let me call my mum." I didn't want her to worry and wonder where I was, so I picked my phone out of my pocket and started dialling her. He smiled sweetly at me.
"Hi!" I greeted her when she picked up. "Hi honey" she said back lovingly. "Casey asked me if I could go with him to his music lesson here at school. So I just wanted to tell you that I'll be home a little bit later."
"Okay, Have fun! I love you" "I love you" I hung up the phone and looked back up at Casey. Who had been looking at me this whole time. "Ready?" I nodded and followed him inside.
"We have to pick up my guitar at the janitors closet first. Hank always lets me put it in there for the day, he a nice guy you'd like him." He explained. We turned the corner and an older looking man came walking towards us with a big smile on his face.
"Casey! I was already expecting you!" He said enthusiastically, like Casey was a friend who he hadn't seen in twenty years. "Yeah, I had to search Hailey first." Hank held out his hand for me to shake it. "I'm Hank, don't think I have seen you before. Hailey was it?" I let go of his hand and answered. "Oh, yeah. I'm new here, so that's why."
Hank turned around and opened the closet door. He grabbed Casey's guitar case and handed it to him. "Thank you again for letting me put it here" Casey said politely. "You don't have to thank me anymore. Have fun guys" He said before taking a broom out of the closet and walked away. Continuing his job.
We started walking again but this time to the music room. We had to climb a stairs and turned some corners, before we arrived. Casey held the door open for me so I could go in, before he got in himself.
It was quite a big classroom, which held various instruments. On every wall and every square of ground stood something. I saw a lot of guitars, keyboards, a drum kit, violins and many more. But the thing that stood out to me the most was the gorgeous black piano standing in the middle of it all. I honestly was very impressed by all of it.
A woman, I had missed due to all the other things that caught my eye, jumped up from her chair and made her way over to us. She looked very young, she couldn't be older than twenty five. She had her blonde hair up in a bun and her blue eyes were covered by big round glasses. She had her white shirt tucked in her jeans and wore black boots under it.
"Oh! You must be Hailey." She exclaimed smiling brightly. "Casey told me a lot about you" I looked over at the boy next to me, whose face had gotten a shade redder. She told me sit down at one of the stools standing in the room. Casey set his guitar down and came to sit next to me.
Ms Summers crossed her legs and looked at me. It looked like she was trying to read my mind or something. "You play piano right?" She asked eventually. I looked at her in surprise. "How did you know?" She smiled knowingly. "I saw how you looked at the piano"
