Minjee stood at the center of the crowd surrounding her. Today was another event their student council held. And if it wasn't for Donghae who keeps bothering her to go and accompany him here, she could have been at home by now, sleeping.
She is not really the sociable person. She's not fond of crowded events like this. In fact, even during family gatherings, she'd get bored and easily irritated especially when the topic of the conversation would be about money, investments and any other business talks she can't relate.
The only person that entertains her would either be her brother or her childhood friend, Siwon. Choi Siwon is the youngest and only son of her parent's closest friends, the Choi's, in which they already even considered them as family.
Ever since when they were young, both of them are already that close that their parents thought its best for them to get married someday. Even Ryeowook and Jiwon, Siwon's younger sister, wants them to end up together. But because of Mr. Choi's decision, Siwon was forced to go to Canada to study along with Siyeon.
Minjee snapped back to reality when she heard her name being called. She smiled when she saw Hyeon approaching her.
"Woah! Look at you. What did you eat that made you decide to come?" She playfully asked as she softly punched Minjee in the arm. She knew events are not Minjee's thing.
"Just... Something." She smiled. Hyeon stared at her suspiciously, trying to read her eyes. Her mouth opened, about to say something when another voice joined them.
"Hyemin!"
Both of them turned around and Hyeon's eyes widened when she saw the smiling figure in front of them. She glanced back at Minjee and to Donghae, and back to Minjee. She smirked and excused herself from them.

"Sorry I'm late. My father called me to meet up." Donghae explained.
"It's okay." Minjee smiled. "Where are we going?" She asked as they were walking towards the direction of the school gates. "I thought we're here for the event."
"Mokpo." He simply answered with a smirk. For a moment, she looked at him blankly, confused. When she realized,
"What?! Michyeosseo?" She glared at him, "Mokpo? Wae??" She stopped in her tracks and found herself panicking. Her parents had never let her go there.
If they ever find out, they will surely send her abroad. They seem to think anywhere in this world is safe except for Mokpo. She thought.
She was always curious as to why her parents wouldn't want her to go there. They'd agree to let her travel elsewhere; Switzerland, The US, anywhere she'd want, but never Mokpo.
It's not like something life or death happened there, right? It was her birthplace. They had lived there before they moved to Seoul when she was 6. Even until now, her parents wouldn't tell her why.
"Is there a problem?" Donghae turned to her, raising an eyebrow. His face, handsome yet suspicious.
"N-nothing. It's just that... I remember I have something else to do at home." She lied and about to leave hurriedly when Donghae pulled her to him and held her hand. He's much quicker than I am. She thought.
"Nope, you're not going anywhere." He smirked and pulled her, forcing her to walk with him. Minjee stared at him, her heart beating like crazy. Stop it. She wanted to slap her heart for being too loud.
-
"We're here." Donghae whispered, trying to wake her up. She opened her eyes, her face red when she realized she fell asleep on Donghae's shoulder.
