Do you still love me?

I felt arms wrap around me and I opened my eyes to see Kakuzu. I gave a soft smile as I snuggled into his chest.

"What happened?" He asked.

"I sprinted somewhere for two days straight. No stopping or anything. It was fun." I said with a laugh.

"You're so reckless." He mumbled.

"You still love me." I asked with a smile.

He stopped walking and looked at me. I looked into his eyes waiting for him to say something. He pulled his mask down and leaned down and captured my lips in a kiss before he kept walking while pulling his mask up.

"Yes, I do still love you." He mumbled.

I was in a state of shock. My face was completely red as I sat there in his arms.

"Three, two, one." Kakuzu mumbled.

"You jerk don't go kissing a girl randomly! Jeez." I yelled.

He chuckled while I sulked and mumbled insults at him. I ended up hitting his chest and complaining.

"You're such a child." He mumbled.

I huffed and turned away from Kakuzu. My face then went seriously realising something.

"How did you find me?" I asked.

"you disappeared from the base. No one knew where you went, so a few of us went looking for you. I picked up on your trail after about a days worth of looking. You got sloppy. So the others went back to the base while I came and got you." He explained.

I nodded. I knew I got sloppy about hiding my tracks about after a day so it made sense. So I just let Kakuzu carry me while I watch the scenery. Honestly, I was enjoying this. I smiled and took a deep breath.

Nyuko hissed at me waking up and I smiled patting him. His licked my face which tickled making me giggle. Nyuko when up into my hair and wrapped around it tightly trying to put it in a ponytail but his scarlets were to smooth and the hair slipped out.

I grabbed Nyuko and sat him on my lap. I got a hair tie and tired my hair up. Nyuko went up and wrapped around my hair and hissed in delight. I only sighed.

"Why does that snake like your hair so much. He's always in it." Kakuzu asked.

I only shrugged. I didn't know. After a while of walking, we made it back to the base. I was set down only to be tackled. I giggled as my dad hugged me. He sighed as he lifted me up and kept hugging me. 

"you had me worried." He mumbled. 

"Yea sorry." I said. 

I heard footsteps to see Pein. I gave a nervous smile.

"Hi," I said waving. 

"really kid," Pein mumbled holding his head. 

"I'm sorry. I should have told someone I was leaving. That was irresponsible." I said bowing. 

"at least you know the trouble you put us through. don't do that again." He said. 

"Of course sir."  I said. 

he walked away and I sighed. 

"he's mad." I mumbled. 

Dad continued to hug me. 

"he can't stay mad at you so don't worry." Dad said. 

I laughed as we went back into the base. I hope Tobi isn't here.
