A single drop

Time was slipping away

I punched a wall as I walked up to Tobi. I walked up and my katana passed through him and got lodged into the wall. I tried to control my harsh breathing as I glared at him.

"calm down he not dead. Just on a mission uncover. We needed the person to think he was dead, " Tobi said.

"if anything happens to my father I'll kill you, " I growled.

I stormed off. I usually try to see others points of view. But I swear if this mission hurt my father I won't give a damn.

My father was sent to fight the eight tails after sasuke failed to defeat him. So now my dad was going on an undercover mission.

If he died. I shook my head taking a deep breath. No, he'll be fine just fine. He has to be. He can't leave me. He promised.

I heard footsteps and turned to see Kabuto. He just had to decide to help Tobi.

Kabuto walked to where Yoshi was. He found her outside going through an emotional turmoil.

She met his gaze and he saw the turmoil in her eyes. He knew before he came here she wanted to leave the Akatsuki but didn't because she still had a family. But if anything happened to Kisame he had no doubt in his mind she would leave. And it worried him.

He began walking towards her and Nyuko went on defence while she watched him carefully. She wasn't even close to being in the mood to fight.

He walked up to her ignoring Nyuko. He grabbed her hand and her eyes narrowed before slightly widening. He continued to hold onto her hand for a bit longer before letting it go.

"Why?" she asked.

"just felt like it, " he said.

She looked down before kicking him in the gut. He skidded back and looked at her again to see the even more distant look in her eyes.

"Thanks, I guess. But be careful here. He's used every other member of the Akatsuki you won't be any different, " She said.

"Why do you stay?" Kabuto asked.

She didn't say anymore. He already knew it was her father. She was fiercely loyal to him. He began walking away.

I heard Kabuto leave and I look at my hand to see a small seal forming on my wrist. I had no idea why he did it. He gave me some of his sage chakra.

He actually gave me a fair bit. I sighed looking at the sky. Dad, please come home. I want to leave the Akatsuki with you and just live a peaceful normal life in a small village.

I sighed knowing it wasn't possible. We were both S-ranked criminals. It became impossible to do that a long time ago.

I looked back towards the base. The war would be starting soon. I wasn't sure what to do. My first clenched. The main thing everyone has told me was find my own direction in life. But I was still unsure. Should I stay and wait for dad or leave now while I had the chance.

I could only imagine how many lives would be lost in the war to come. Too many that's for sure.

"you have a bit more time to think, " Nyuko said.

"i know but soon there won't be my time left, " I mumbled.

Time was slipping away.
