Glory has people patrolling the underground area, so we knew that we didn't have anything to worry about as we slept. Of course, I'm still worried about what Vinill and his troops might be planning. Will we be safe anywhere? Have all of the other rulers already abandoned us? Are these our only allies?
It was a long night, but before I even knew it, I had fallen asleep. Now it's morning, and we're planning to move on.
"Our safest course of action is still the way I had been planning on heading." Tzeeru tells me. "I'm sorry it's such a roundabout way, but I do still have to try and make a living. Besides, I'm not exactly eager to sail into territory where pirates or sea monsters have been reported."
"No, I understand." I tell him. "We all have things we need to do. And I hope you don't mind my advisor Brokk joining us."
"Of course not! The more the merrier, as they say! Besides, it's always useful to have another hand on board. He seems like he'll have an easier time lifting heavy boxes than I would."
"I'll be happy to help you with whatever you need, sir, especially after all you've done for my queen." Brokk tells him.
"Trust me, Zezanna and her friends have already more than I could ever repay. They saved my life. I will assist you guys in any way that I can."
As we leave the underground, Glory wishes us luck. Ysana casts a disguise over us, and we head over to the port to help Tzeeru load up any last cargo he needs to move.
Once we finish, we catch up with the rest of the crew, telling them about all that's happened since we last saw them. Needless to say, our adventure has been more exciting than theirs.
"Just be sure to stay safe." Izzy begs us.
Of course, with all that we're mixed up in, I don't know if we can be safe. Still, we promise Izzy that we'll try our best not to get ourselves killed.
The ride goes slowly. We spend a lot of time downstairs, cleaning up around the place. At one point, while we're sleeping, we hear Tzeeru screaming, and rush up to see what's going on.
It seems that a pirate ship was hiding behind a large rock, and as soon as we passed them, they chased after us for a bit, and eventually a few pirates managed to board the ship. Tzeeru is doing his best to steer us away from the ship, but the pirates that have made their way onto the ship could do some serious harm if we don't do anything.
Thankfully they haven't quite made their way to Tzeeru yet. They're far closer than we are, though, so the only person that can do anything is Ysana.
"Freeze!" She shouts at them, as she casts a spell. Instantly, the four pirates stop in their tracks, and fall to the ground.
Ysana has exerted a ton of energy these past few days, so even just that quick spell is enough to make her collapse.
"Just stay downstairs!" I tell her. "We'll deal with these pirates!"
She knows that it would be futile for her to try anything, so she agrees, and heads back downstairs. Meanwhile, Heroth, Brokk, Emma, and I run over to deal with the pirates.
The pirates are just getting back up from Ysana's spell as we arrive. They jump to their feet as soon as they see us, and ready their weapons.
With four of us and four of them, it's a pretty even fight... At least number-wise. We have no idea what kind of training these pirates have, but they probably aren't too skilled at fighting. Heroth and Brokk, of course have been trained to kill others. Emma and I might not have the kind of training that the others have, but we can still hold our own.
