We barely get any rest that night. For some of us, we get absolutely no rest. We all wake up long before the sun comes up, and wait for the ships full of enemy soldiers to arrive.

I'm hidden away in a basement, getting reports from Shadi.

"As expected, Vinill will not be coming to watch his own downfall. We had hoped he would, as it would make things easier for us, but that is not important. For now, what we must do is show them that we can fight."

"And is everyone in position already?" I ask.

"Yes. Ysana will be the first to act. Hopefully she will be able to capsize any and all ships that come towards us today."

"And if that fails, we have plenty of good warriors out there to fight." Tzeeru reminds me.

I wouldn't say plenty. This village had a few guards, but they aren't much compared to what the other nations will send out. Soldiers who have trained their entire lives for battle. All we have like that is Heroth and Brokk. Ingrell is pretty good, but not nearly as good as Brokk or Heroth. If push comes to shove, he and I will join the fight, but if it comes to that... We're in some serious trouble.

Shadi informs me that he was able to get a few guards to attempt a mutiny on a Balazi ship as they come to attack. Five ships from Balazi should be coming, but after his attack, it should just be four, alongside two Asios ships.

Just as Shadi predicted, not long after the sun rises, we see some ships off in the distance. Our enemies have archers prepared to attack as soon as they are within range of the town, but we also have archers to fire back. More importantly...

As soon as the boats come close enough, Ysana begins casting her magic. She has no time to spare power, she has to let everything out. She's causing some great waves, threatening to capsize all 6 boats that have come. On top of that, she's sending large fireballs down at the boats.

Two ships - both belonging to Balazi - quickly capsize. An additional Asios ship also catches fire, and soon sinks.

Ysana's waves are preventing the archers on the ship from being able to stand, much less fire effectively. Any who try end up shooting their arrows straight into the ocean or sky. Sure, our archers have some trouble hitting them, too, but we've definitely got the upper hand, here.

"There are heavy casualties on the opponent's side. One ship seems to be turning back. Ysana and the archers have no choice but to let it. They must focus on the ships attacking us."

"Thank you." I tell Shadi.

The opposing army was not prepared for this. We knew they were coming, and their soldiers were not able to fight us from behind our lines. Ysana should have been killed by now. Their ships should have been able to arrive safely.

They were fools.

We can't celebrate yet, but the first few minutes have gone by pretty well for us. Shadi keeps running back and forth, gathering intel on the fight.

"We believe they are sending a smaller army over land, as well. They should be here in an hour, but by then, these should be defeated."

"If they aren't defeated within 45 minutes, then you should go with Heroth and Brokk to lead a small army against their land army."

"Of course." He nods his head.

If the fight is over by then, Ysana can join them. If she does, then it will be all over for the army. Of course, we still have to wait and see. Shadi might be in some serious trouble.

Archers are still trying to shoot us, and cannonballs are flying towards us... But it's all useless. With Ysana messing with the waves, plus the fireballs raining down from above, they can't aim for shit. Thirty minutes go by, and the enemies are down to just one last ship - one from Asios.
