The plan last night was to just have lunch. That quickly grew into drinking... A lot. In the morning, we all wake up with hangovers. Well, everyone except for Ysana. She used her magic to deal with the hangover before it even became a problem. She's happy to help heal our hangover, though, so we thankfully won't have to deal with that issue for long.
She starts with me, since we're dating, then makes her way around to everyone else. Heroth keeps watch at the window while Ysana heals everyone else. As she goes to heal him, I go over to the window to watch. I'm mostly just taking in the sights of the town, honestly, but I do glance around for danger every now and then, which is a good thing, because I just noticed something bad.
"A ship from Asios just pulled into port." I tell them. "It looks like there are some guards on it. We should be careful."
"How far from Tzeeru's ship?" Emma asks, coming over to look.
"It's pretty far. These guys are parking over with the military ships. Tzeeru is way over by the market."
"We should be safe, but let's just keep our eyes on them. We can take shifts." Heroth tells us.
"I'll be on standby to melt somebody's face off." Ysana promises.
"Do you guys want me to go do anything?" Hailie asks.
"It's best for you to stay near the ship." Ysana tells her. "If they see you with us, that could get your father and crew in danger, so just stay clear."
"It looks like they're putting something up." Emma says, leaning closer to the window to see better.
"Wanted posters, probably." Heroth shrugs. "It's pretty rare to put up posters in another nation, so these wanted people are probably considered important. In other words, they've probably put a bounty on our heads, and are spreading the word as far as they can."
"Ysana, can you help us disguise ourselves?" I ask.
"Eh, probably. I might not have enough magic to hold it for long, though, so we gotta put that off as much as we can, and then drop the illusion whenever we're safe."
"That's fine, at least we can appear different when passing by them."
"I'll go pay for the room." Hailie tells us. "Will you all be good to head out tonight?"
"Sure." Ysana tells her.
"Alright, I'll be sure to make sure that nobody bothers us until then."
She slips out of the door, and everyone's attention turns back to the window. Guards seem to be asking the locals if they've seen us, but most seem to not be aware of us... Until they walk up to those guys who were messing with us last night.
The boss is lying in a fetal position in the middle of the street with his friends sitting around him. One is him on the back as the soldiers walk up to them. He seems to ask them something, and they point over to our hotel. The soldiers look at each other for a moment, and nod their heads.
"Looks like they're coming over." Heroth notes.
"How good is everyone at climbing?" Ysana asks. "I mean, we're only on the second floor."
"I've never tried." I tell them.
"I'm pretty good." Emma tells her.
"I'm decent, too." Heroth says.
"Alright, we'll just have you two stand at the bottom incase Zezanna falls." Ysana shrugs. "I'll be the last one out, so I can cover everyone from the window."
Before we went to dinner last night, we did buy some stuff at the various stores. Ysana picks up the bag, and rummages through it for the rope. We tie it around the bed, since it seems solid, and then quietly open the window. We also push some furniture up against the door.
