'Why not?'

She shrugged casualy. 'I don't want people to think wrong of us. So stay there and start talking ,or I'll go.'

I couldn't believe what I just heard. This little woman in front of me just dropped me an ultimatum? No one ever did that to me. Except my mother and Dina.

'I've married once.' I waited for her response.

'I know,Dina told me.' There was a long pause. I didn't know how much Dina told her. 'Two questions.' She finally said.

'Go ahead.' I leaned on my car and crossed my arms on my chest.

'What's the reason of the divorce?'

'She cheated on me.'

There's a horror look in her face. She closed her mouth with her hand, her eyes went wide. 'Astaghfirullaah,I'm sorry.'

'It's okay. It's a long time ago.'

'Was she Amanda's mother?'

'How did you know that?'

'Guessing.' She shrugged.

I knew it's a chance for me to explain everything. It's now or never. 'There's nothing between me and Katrina. She's still trying to get to me,but I believe it's very impossible. She lied to me about many things. I don't think I could live with her anymore.'

She nodded. 'Okay.'

'Second?'

'I want to know how you manage to have a hospital in this young age? Wait, how old are you?'

'Almost 33. You?'

'25.' She's so young! I started to think that this was a mistake. Her voice brought my focus back. 'So? Would you mind to elaborate? Or is it consider as a company secret?'

I smiled at her. 'Not a company secret. But it's a personal secret.'

Her brows frowned. 'What is that mean?'

'I will share all of my personal secret only with my 3 most trusted people. My mother,my sister,my wife.'

Her face fell instantly. 'Oh okay. Well,it's good to hear that. I mean,to know that a successful man like you has a very strong bond with your mother and sister,it's a very good thing. You know, some successful man don't have anyone at their side, but you have them. Good for you.'

Wallaahi, this girl made me fall deeper and she didn't even realize it. I leaned forward. 'Will you marry me?'

'Huh?'

'Well, since I already have a mother and it's impossible for you to be my sister. There's an empty slot as to be my wife. You want to know the secret of this successful young doctor right?'

She snorted. 'Huh,are you always so full of yourself?'

'Is that supposed to be the answer?'

'Of what?'

'My proposal.' Her face went red again. I didn't know that a girl could blush so easily.

'Oh that ... Yeah ... Umm ... I think I need time to think it through.'

I smiled. I knew it won't be easy to win her heart,to make her said the simple yes. I knew that she's different than any other females I knew. 'Tomorrow.'

Her eyes widened. 'No way. It's too quick. I need to talk to my parents.'

'So talk to them. You have all night.'

'It's not that easy,doc.'

'Khalil. I'm your fiancé now.' The word sounded good. The grin on my face grew wider and wider.

Her face went red again, with her poker face on. I believed she was struggling to keep her emotion on check. 'Fine. A week. I need a week.'

I shook my head. 'What're you trying to do? Plan a marriage? I'm just asking you to say yes.' I couldn't believe I did this, bargaining the time of my marriage on the side of the road.

'Okay okay ... 5 days.'
