"I can't believe she did that..."
You mumbled to yourself.
Your friend from the Support Course, Mei Hatsume, used her opponent to promote her inventions, or what she called her 'babies'.
You were on your way to the waiting
room with an egged-theme tote in your left hand, hoping to find Mei.
After a minute of walking or so, you found the room and hesitantly knocked on it before sliding open the door to find Mei inside, packing all her 'babies' into a duffle bag.
"Excuse me?"
You asked quietly while pushing your glasses up (as they were slowly drooping down).
"Oh hey ____!"
Mei replied looking up at you,
"Why so quiet?"
"Nothin'."
You mumbled, placing the baggy on the table opposite of Mei.
"I thought there'd be, I d'know, a supervisor in here or something."
"What's up? Need my help or some sort?"
Mei asked, getting straight to the point.
She never liked beating around the bush.
"No,"
You shook your head, opening the baggy.
"Just came to give you this."
You handed Mei a can of Coke.
"Thanks!"
Mei smiled.
"I'm really beat after showing off the crowd all my beautiful babies!"
She proudly stated while opening the can and gulping it all down at once.
"Do you think my presentation was good? You think the companies will like my super cool babies?"
She asked looking directly into your soul.
"I'd be lying if I said you did okay."
You replied while siting on the table, crossed legs.
"Are you saying I did great?"
"I don't know, I might be saying you did horrible." You grinned at her.
"It's up to you to think
whether what I said was a compliment or an insult."
You added while shrugging.
"It really depends on your perspective and trust in me."
"I see..."
Mei said, pondering at what you said.
"I'll take it as a compliment!"
She beamed up brightly, pointing her index finger to the ceiling.
You smiled at her response.
"Also by the way, how could you do that?"
You asked her.
"Huh?"
Mei asked while continuing to pack her inventions.
"Like, how could you use that guy from the hero course as a way to promote your 'babies'?"
You questioned her while using your hands to make quotation marks.
"Oh,"
Mei answered not looking back up.
"Speaking of which, I've been meaning to actually apologise to him properly. I-"
Suddenly Mei's phone started buzzing.
"I'm sorry, excuse me."
She said, picking up her phone and answering it.
