twenty-one

yeon sighed as she tiredly leaned against the wall after her work shift. it was saturday, and many people decided to visit today. 

"are you ok?" jaehyun appeared besides her.

"yes, just tired." she pushed herself off the wall.

"do you mind coming back to the apartment this weekend? to see the others? they want to see you again." the question suprised her, so she stayed silent for a few moments. she didnt know if she trusted herself to answer in such a tired state.

"why would they want to see me." yeon frowned.

"you should've seen Lucas and taeyong almost kill me once i told them what i did." he paused. "i also got very disappointed looks from jungwoo and kun. jisung came up to me a few days after it happened and asked when he'd be able to see you again. he didn't even know what happened."

the thought of jisung finding out the hard way hurt her a lot more than she thought it would.

"fine. but you're gonna have to let somin know first. she still doesn't like you." yeon laughed.

"i can understand why." he smiled.

"i'd question you if you didn't." she smiled too. the thought of what he did ran into both of their minds, and it grew silent. "well, what are you waiting for. let's go ask her."

"now?" he said nervously.

her smile grew wider, knowing that he was scared. "yes, now. it's now or never, jaehyun."

he nodded and slowly walked to the car with yeon following behind him.

once they arrived at the apartment complex yeon lived at, jaehyun nearly refused to go in. yeon pulled him to her door. somin was sitting on the couch when they came in. she instantly glared when she saw jaehyun there.

"what is he doing here?" somin looked for answers in yeon.

yeon shrugged, "he needs to ask you something."

"what is it?" somin snapped towards him.

"uh- i was wondering if yeon could spend the weekend with me and my friends." he asked quietly.

somin stared straight at him with a dangerous look on her face, "how can i trust you with my best friend? especially after what you did."

"listen, somin-" jaehyun tried to say.

"i dont want to."

"just try and listen to him, somin." yeon said it this time.

"ok." she waited for jaehyun to explain.

"it wasn't even my idea. my friends want to see her. i do too, but now that they know im talking to her again they've been begging me to see her." he mumbled.

somin sighed dramatically, "fine but if i hear that you did anything bad, anything at all, I'll personally make sure you never see the light of day again."

once somin left the room, jaehyun let out a breath of air he didn't know he was holding in. "do you want me to help you pack? i know it's only for a day and a half but still."

"sure, if you want to." she walked off towards her room, and he followed.
