twenty-two

yeon was nervous once they arrived at his house, she didnt know why.

jaehyun took five minutes to find his keys, and when yeon asked him to just knock on his own door he said that no one would answer it because they're all scared to answer the door. but finally, he found his keys to open the door.

the house had a deep aroma of apples and cinnamon, and it smelled really nice.

quick footsteps were heard coming from upstairs, and she saw more than ten people rush down the stairs. she heard many people saying her name but she didnt know who to look at.

and more people came from other rooms. over the time when yeon and jaehyun still talked, yeon had learned all the names and faces. after two years, they all looked more mature. 

"you're all taller than me now." was the first thing she said, mostly to the younger ones. jisung was one of the first people she recognized, and he was way taller than her.

"i told you they missed you." jaehyun smiled.

"let the girl sit down." taeyong said over all of them. he lead her over to a chair, and made her sit down, saying that he didn't want her to be tired from all the standing around.

because of shortage of chairs, some ended up sitting on the floor or someone's lap. jaehyun sat on the floor after yeon told him that he couldn't sit on her lap. he pouted on the floor instead of arguing with her.

"jisung and chenle picked out a movie to watch." doyoung said, and the two nodded proudly.

"they've been waiting for you to come all day." kun said lightly.

yeon frowned, she didn't think they missed her that much. after two years she thought they would've forgotten about her.

the music of the disney intro interrupted her thoughts. she glanced at the tv, and was suprised to see lady and the tramp playing on the tv. she knew jisung and chenle didn't know any better, but the movie brought back a lot of memories to her.

it seemed jaehyun had the same thoughts, as he had a distant look on his face, as if he was thinking hard.

jisung had gotten tired of the floor, so yeon let him sit on her lap. he didn't make it very far through the movie, and the teenager fell asleep cutely.

it was as if the thought of sleeping made her tired, and slowly her eyes drooped. she fell asleep to the sound of the movie.

it's that time of night where i can only listen to slow paced, soft songs. to soothe my sadness.
