yeon laid on her bed, watching old episodes of scooby doo while her blankets covered half of her face.
she felt the bed dip besides her unexpectedly and turned her head. jaehyun laid next to her, staring at her fondly.
instead on talking, yeon just laid her head on his chest like it was a pillow, and continued watching her scooby doo while jaehyun slowly wrapped an arm around her.
"this is such a nice pillow." yeon mumbled.
"good thing i dont have rock hard abs." jaehyun chuckled.
"i dont that fits you." yeon said after thinking about it.
"really, why?" jaehyun pouted.
"i dont know, you seem like more of a tummy person. which is great because it means i get a free pillow." yeon said, resting her head again.
"who said it was free?" jaehyun said, trying to pull her off playfully.
"i did, now let me rest." yeon refused to be moved.
jaehyun sighed and let her stay there. "what episode is this?"
"season one, episode three, a hassle in the castle." she said in a monoton, sounding very similar to a robot.
the room was once again silent, as they both continued watching the episode.
"wait how did the ghost guy go through the walls?" jaehyun asked cluelessly.
yeon rolled her eyes playfully. "i cant tell you that."
after the episode had ended, the words he had practiced nearly all morning came into his mind again. all he had to do was ask her out, right? right. except if she rejected him everything was probably over for him.
"yeon-" just as he mustered up enough courage yeon got up out of bed. "I'll be right back." she said, exiting the room.
"fuck." he muttered.
somin, who was also in the house, peeked into the room. "you better ask her." he had asked her earlier if he was allowed to take her out. because he didnt know yeon's parents, he asked her best friend.
"im trying." jaehyun sighed again.
"im waiting." somin said finally, before closing the door.
yeon smiled as she walked into the room again. "sorry. what were you gonna say?"
jaehyun took a deep breath in. "um, would you like to go out with me." he could feel his confidence fade away as she didnt answer.
yeon had gone silent, and her face had gone blank. jaehyun didn't know that she was just thinking, but he was starting to get nervous.
jaehyun was now sitting completely straight, waiting anxiously for her to answer.
over and over in her head, yeon thought to herself, 'do i trust him with my feelings?'
and she realized that she did, she really did.
"sure." yeon said finally.
