twenty-three

distantly, yeon could feel herself being picked up. she felt herself being put down on something she assumed was a bed. 

she heard footsteps walking somewhere else and then a shower running. about five minutes later the water stopped and the footsteps returned to the bed. the bed dipped besides her.

she heard a soft low whisper from besides her, "goodnight yeon."

yeon didn't want to forgive him so easily, but as every second passes she gives in more and more.

in the morning, she was suprised to see that taeyong had made breakfast for everyone. nineteen people in total.

'damn this boy must be tired.' she thought to herself, seeing taeyong nearly fall asleep in his chair.

despite taeyong being tired, jisung, haechan, and chenle were all bouncing in their seats. where they got their energy from? dont know.

as soon as she was soon eating, the younger ones (who weren't even that young anymore) pulled her over to another room. inside the room, blankets fell from the walls and made a pillow fort. she looked over to jaehyun who was standing in the entrance. he smiled, and looked at the pillow fort. 

"come on yeon, you're so slow." renjun yelled from inside.

"hey!" yeon pouted, entering the fort.

inside, rejun, jeno, jaemin, haechan, chenle, and jisung were inside. last time she was around all of them, two years ago, mark was always around them. now that she returned, she noticed mark hung around the older ones.

she took her mind off of that and looked around the pillow fort. it was quite large, and was lit by fairy lights and flashlights.

"it took us like ten million hours, but we did it because we missed you, yeon." jaemin smiled, and yeon's heart almost melted with cuteness.

she still couldn't believe that they actually missed her. "it's so pretty."

"that's a good thing to hear, we were up since like 6 am trying to do this for you." haechan sassed.

"yeah, thankfully you were out cold with jaehyun hyung." chenle giggled.

yeon covered her face with her sweater, "wow you guys sure know how to embarrass me."

"we were really sad when jaehyun told us. we didnt even figure out until like two weeks after you left." jeno frowned.

"just promise you won't leave us again?" they all looked up to her for an answer.

yeon smiled sadly. "i promise."
