Dark Authority [Virgil x Reader]

Chapter 4

Virgil sighed and looked at me. "Hes always that loud. You'll get used to it". I gave a polite smile. I took in a breath to speak but was quite rudely interrupted by him. "You should get to class". Ah yes... Lessons... I had, for a short period of time, forgotten I was in school. I was so focused on Joan and Virgil that the entire concept of 'education' slipped past me. He gave me a small smile before waving awkwardly. He turned on his heel and walked off to his lesson.

I pulled my timetable out to see what lesson I had. Science. A subject I find fascinating but very tedious. My room was 7C.

I followed the signs around the building until I reached 7C. I looked through the window to see that the class was already in action... Brilliant. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door. A young person opened it. They had short hair which curled around their forehead and glasses that sat comfortably on their face. "I... don't know who this is sir...". Their voice was solid and smooth. They turned their head to the west of the room and then nodded. "Come in", they said quietly. I followed the petite person into the classroom to see a large class full of what looked like smart people (judging by stereotypes once again). The teacher was tall and was smartly dressed. He had a smart shirt and a tie with a charcoal belt and smooth ironed pants. "Take a seat, you're late", he says in a stern voice. He then continued his lesson. His vocals were sophisticated and fluent. Science seemed like a second language for him. Something about his physicality just... made me comfortable.

I sat beside the small person who opened the door. They pushed a sheet in my direction while not making eye contact. I looked to them and smiled. I put my hand out for them to shake "I'm [F/N]". They shook my hand gently, still no eye contact.

"I'm Talyn...". I smiled at them once again and they just continues with their sheet.

I filled in the sheet corresponding with the lesson and found myself really enjoying It! I've always had mixed feelings about science but now it felt enjoyable!

Maybe this day wasn't too bad!
