"Happy?" Akechi's brows furrowed deeply. "Of course I am. Soon my hard work will come to fruition, and that asshole will finally pay the price."

A sad smile appeared on the man's face, half of it hidden behind a detailed butterfly mask. "My, you've truly been warped by your misfortunes."

"I don't regret anything," the teenager bit out, venom in his voice.

"Really now? I somehow doubt that." The man stood up from his chair. "What is left to see is what force inside you that'll win. Your twisted mind or your sorrowful heart."

Then he vanished.
