You began to panic as you reached for your cell phone off of the coffee table. You dialed the all too familiar number of your best friend Jamie Benn.
"Y/N, do you know what time it is?" Jamie questioned.

You let a sob escape your throat.
"What's wrong?" He asked instantly alert to the fact that you were crying.

You just kept crying, unable to get your words out.
"Y/N, talk to me." Jamie pleaded into the phone.

"He did it again, Jamie." You said not wanting to believe your own words.
"I'll be right there. Just try and stay calm, okay? I'm on my way." Jamie said into the phone.
"Thank you." You said before hanging up.
A few minutes later there was a knock on the door, you quickly got up and answered it revealing a concerned Jamie.
"Y/N." He said before pulling you into a tight embrace.

The feeling of his arms around you caused another sob to wreck through your entire body.
"Why does he keep cheating on me Jamie?" You cried.
"Is he here?" Jamie questioned as his body tensed.
You placed a hand on his chest to calm him.
"No, when I found out he left." You explained.
"You can stay with me, I prefer you weren't here tonight." Jamie said.
You knew better than to argue with Jamie over something serious like this because he wasn't going to listen to you. Jamie took your hand and led you out to his Mercedes. He walked around to the passenger side and opened the door for you and helped you in. Jamie was always such a gentleman, no matter where you were he insisted on opening your car door and it was the sweetest thing.

Once Jamie pulled out of your driveway and onto the road you began to cry again. This had been the third time Jamie had to come get you from your boyfriend's house after he cheated on you. Once Jamie realized you were crying he placed his hand on your knee.
"Tell me what happened." He said.
You took a deep breath.
"I came home from work and I couldn't find him. So, I walked upstairs, and our bedroom door was shut, before I even opened it I knew what I was going to see. I opened the door and saw him on top of some blonde girl. I started yelling at him and I told her to leave, she put her clothes back on and left quickly but then he and I started fighting. He told me that I spend too much time at work and that I wasn't giving him the attention he needed from me, so he cheated." You said through your tears.
"I just wish he would have told me he was feeling this way because I didn't know. I've been working a lot but it's only because I have so much to prove and I want to succeed." You said defending yourself.

"He doesn't deserve you." Jamie said squeezing your knee.

When you finally arrived at Jamie's he quickly got out of the car and ran around to open your door and help you in the house.
"Do you want anything?" He asked as you walked through the door.
You shook your head no and walked in the house. You sat down at one of the barstools at the island in the middle of the kitchen and put your head in your hands as more tears rolled down your cheeks. Jamie came up behind you wrapping his arms around your middle. You recoiled from his touch as his hand pressed against a painful spot on your side.
"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Oh...it's nothing." You said trying to brush it off.
"Y/N..." He warned.
"I'm fine Jamie." You said trying to calm him.
Jamie looked at you and slowly placed his hand on your side. You allowed him to roll your shirt up so that he could look at your side. It was all black and blue and honestly hurt really bad, you forgot all about the bruise until Jamie hugged you.
"Y/N...please tell me he didn't do this to you..." Jamie whispered, his voice shaking.

You didn't respond.
"Did he do this?" Jamie repeated.
You nodded your head slowly.

"He pushed me the other day and my side hit against the corner of the table." You explained.
Jamie's body tensed, and you could practically feel the anger rolling off of him. Jamie was angry, no, furious. You had seen Jamie like this only a few other times and the outcome was always scary.
"I'm going to kill him. He's dead." Jamie said walking towards the door.
"Jamie! Stop!" You said quickly running ahead of him and standing in front of the door so that he couldn't leave.
"Move Y/N." He warned.
"No. You can't hurt him!" You exclaimed.
"Well he can't just get away with hurting you." Jamie defended.
"Not like it's the first time." You said.
