You walked into the house party looking for your friends. You find them in the corner talking to a small group of guys. You were excited to see them because you spent the last few years you had been so busy with school but now that you were graduated you were excited to start your life and career, but excited to be able to actually spend time with your friends more. You walked up to your group of friends, you were immediately engulfed into huge hugs. It felt so good to be back in your friends arms again. When you finally released your closest friend looked at you with a concerned look on her face.
"We have something to tell you." She said.

"What's going on? You're scaring me." You asked.

"He's here." She replied.

Before you could ask any more questions, you felt a hand on your back.
"Y/N?" As soon as you heard that voice, your knees went weak and you struggled to breathe. You turned around to look into the eyes of the boy who you loved, the boy you gave everything to, the boy who broke your heart and ran away to Toronto.
"Auston." You whispered.
"I can't believe you're here." He said.
You stood totally still, you couldn't move even if you wanted to. You were stuck looking at the boy who shattered your entire world and left you alone to pick up the pieces. Your friend quickly tapped you on the back trying to snap you out of whatever you were feeling.
"Do you want to go outside and talk?" He asked gesturing towards the door that lead towards the patio outside.
"Actually, I'm here to hang out with my girls." You smiled putting your arm around your best friend's shoulder.

"Oh, okay. Well I'll be around so maybe I'll see you later on." He said before walking away.

Once he was safely out of view you let out a sob and fell into your friend's arms.
"Come on, let's go upstairs." She said as everyone began to walk towards the steps.
You quickly walked into her bedroom and shut the door.
"What the fuck was that!" You yelled.
"Y/N, I want you to know he was not invited. Someone must have brought him. When we saw him, we were going to tell him to leave but then he asked us about you and we couldn't tell him to go after that." Your friend explained.
"But if you want me to tell him to go I totally will." Your other friend added.

You wiped away all of the tears on your cheeks and stood up tall.
"No one is leaving. We are all going back downstairs, and I am going to get drunk off my ass and I'm going to finally forget about Auston Matthews." You beamed proudly.

Your friends all cheered as you finally walked down stairs again. You immediately went towards the kitchen pickup up a large bottle of vodka off of the counter and pouring a line of shots. Your friends all took them, but you didn't stop there, you filled up your glass two more times. You walked around the party and talked to so many people you had not seen in a while and had a really good time. You hadn't seen Auston in a while, so you figured he had left. You were glad he left, seeing him hurt you so badly, you couldn't take the pain anymore. Eventually, your best friend walked over to you with a guy behind her.
"Y/N, have you met Todd?" She asked.

You shook your head no. Todd smiled at you and you all fell into a casual conversation, you were getting to know Todd. He was a baseball player for the local university and he was so cute. Todd seemed really nice, but he wasn't Auston and that's all you wanted.
"So, Y/N, can I get your number?" Todd asked.

"Of course." You smiled back.
He handed you his phone for you to put your number in. You gave him a fake number like you've done numerous times over the past few years and handed it back to him. He pulled you in for a quick hug before you separated.
You walked back to the kitchen and began to pour yourself another shot when you felt a hand on your arm stopping you from pouring the next shot. You looked up to see Auston, he looked angry.
"You've had enough." He said.
"You don't get to decide that. I'm an adult, I think I can decide when I've had too much to drink." You said shrugging your arm off of his.
