In Kay's dream, there was a little girl.
She had Sasuke's dark eyes and her curly messy hair.
She was small and ran through a field of grass with her, her laugh filled her with joy and the girl's eyes scrunched up when she did.
Kay sighed as she watched her caress the flowers but not rip them out.
She crouched down to her size and listened to her talk, her voice was angelic.
Sasuke walked behind them and smiled down too, he looked older, more like his father now.
"Sarraounia," Kay heard Sasuke speak, "why don't you water them for us?"
The little girl struggled a little but she managed to form a ball of water with her hands and she sprinkled where the patch of flowers bloomed.
She grinned up and ran to hug Kay.
Kay felt the warmth of her skin, and turned up to see Sasuke who no longer was there.
In his place stood a cat, small but with a third eye that told her who she was before it could say it herself.
"Bastet," Kay gasped, bowing at her as the child stood back and disappeared too.
"Hello, Killmonger." It hummed.
Kay smiled, "what can I service you with?"
"Just giving you a hint, name her Sarrounia, she has been my greatest creation since I've created you. I hope you like my blessing."
Kay felt tears forming, "I cannot thank you enough."
"Don't cry, child, I'm always taking care of you. Be happy, enjoy life and protect your loved ones."
Kay nodded.
"Be merry, goodbye now." The cat whispered and disappeared and Sasuke came back, playing with the child with a type of gentleness she'd yet to see him act in.
When Kay woke up, the sound of birds chirping at her, Sasuke was already up.
She got up from the bed, her small bump had never felt more precious.
She went to sit on the breakfast bar and looked up at Sasuke cooking.
"How do you feel about sunny side eggs today?" He asked.
Kay smiled, knowing she had been a little picky about food lately. "I'm feeling great."
Sasuke nodded. "Did you sleep well?"
Kay grinned, happy he'd ask so she could tell him the news.
"I've got a name." She chirped.
Sasuke looked up, "do you?"
"Sarraounia." Kay nodded.
He frowned, "what does that mean?"
She shrugged, "I didn't pick it."
He smiled and placed a plate in front of her.
"Kakashi guessed it right, huh?" His hand went to caress her face.
She nodded, "last night, Bastet."
"In a dream, how sneaky." He smiled at her.
Kay went in on the breakfast he'd made her.
"Did she say anything else?" He wondered as he ent to sit next to her with a plate of his own.
"Yes, to take care of you, and her." She touched her stomach.
He sighed and put his hand over hers.
"She's going to be a wonderful little kid isn't she?"
Kay smiled, "we might have to plant some flowers in the backyard."
He laughed, "I'll get right on it."
Kay sighed then, "how fun do you think the babyshower is going to be?"
He chuckled and waited until he chewed his food to speak, "not much, for us, at least. I'm sure Karin and Sakura are going to have the time of their life."
Kay laughed, "Orochimaru too, I'm betting."
"Probably." Sasuke nodded.
Orochimaru had insisted more than anybody on the babyshower, it gave him a permission to visit the village. Though he wasn't exactly exiled, he wasn't exactly welcomed in the village either and it made things more complicated, especially when Kay sent him a letter telling him the news.
The babyshower was going to be the first time he'd see the child he'd raised himself being pregnant, he was excited.
Sakura and Karin had organized it, Karin was allowed in the village as often as she wanted.
Hinata had tried to help but became frustrated too often and decided against it so it was usually her and Kay hanging out when there was a girls' night.
Sasuke and Kay had pleaded the pair of girls to make the babyshower earlier than usual, to keep attention from themselves on the dates closing to Naruto's and Hinata's wedding.
So, at four and a half months, the babyshower was marked down.
Kay got up from the breakfast bar, putting her dish in the sink.
"I need to get a shower and get ready." She said.
Sasuke nodded, "be careful."
Kay rolled her eyes but lifted her pinky at him, mocking a pinky-promise.
He was much more careful about her now, obviously, and sometimes worried about things she did that didn't seem dangerous to him before.
Taking a shower? With all that slippery space?
Taking a bath? With all that unbreathable water?
Feeling the rain? With all that lightning?
It was becoming annoying to many, Kakashi still questioned the reasoning on some but Kay found it more laughable than annoying.
Everything seemed like it could result in disaster but somehow whenever she craved ramen and freshly cut watermelon at 3am, she was the one being unreasonable.
The babyshower started at six that afternoon, the first to arrive were Orochimaru and Taka- with the exception of Juugo.
Orochimaru's face was bright as light as he saw her, he went in for a hug.
"A girl?" He asked.
Kay nodded, "Uchiha Sarraounia."
Orochimaru found the name strange but shrugged it off, what else was there to expect from a girl named Killmonger anyway.
"Juugo sent this." Orochimaru pulled out a letter.
Kay's face fell, "I have a feeling I know what it says."
He sighed, "you must understand, a child is much too great of a risk. If Juugo doubts himself, there must be a reason. We mustn't push him."
Kay nodded, "I know, I just wish he saw himself in a better light, I think he's capable."
"We must be patient with him, Killmonger." He said and pulled her with him.
"This is a sweet place, Kill." Suigetsu said, his toothy grin shining at her.
Kay smiled, "thank you."
Orochimaru eyed the bump but never approached her the way others did as they started coming in, he could see the discontent in her face whenever someone touched her stomach.
She went to sit next to Sasuke then, tired of standing up for so long, her feet became swollen so often.
People came in and Kay smiled up at them, Karin pushed Suigetsu out of the way with presents for her to open, Suigetsu grumbled something about her being a pushy bitch.
Kay looked over at Sasuke with a smile. Sasuke smiled back, knowing she found it endearing when they fought like the old days.
"I want to thank you all for coming," Kay said as she opened the first present, "and I'd like to announce the name."
"Which she choose this morning." Sasuke said in a playful tone.
Kay laughed, "yeah, I did. Its Sarraounia. Uchiha Sarraounia."
Mai went to her, "where the hell did you get that name, sweetie?"
Kay laughed at her discontent, "don't worry about it."
The babyshower didn't last long but it tired Sasuke and Kay enough just to sit there and smile and thank and open presents.
They were too used to being alone, other presences made things difficult, even if they missed people like Orchimaru that they didn't see as often.
Kakashi stood back to help clean up afterwards everyone was gone. Kay laid on the couch on her back.
"You could help a little." Kakashi grumbled at her.
"I am helping, I'm making someone's finger in here." She replied.
Sasuke laughed in the kitchen as he cleaned some dishes.
"What a name, though." Kakashi started, crouching so he could see her. "Where'd you get that?"
"Bastet." Kay smiled.
Kakashi smiled, "am I too grown to say 'I told you so'?"
Kay pinched her fingers, "just above the line, sorry, Old Man."
Kakashi laughed as he continued trashing paper plates.
